I got a set of 850's that you can test if ya want to try them LMK.
They were Bought off the 3rd gen FS section So I expect them to be FD fitment. They are sitting here doing nothing!..maybe trade for that deck?

What is the reason for going 850 on primary? Typically people keep the 550 as primary and upgrade the secondary injectors.

I'm sure you're aware that the FD comes stock with 550cc side feed primary injectors. In order to mount 850cc side feed injectors you will need to modify (mill out) the stock primary rail to accept the larger 850cc injectors.

If you're changing to a top feed injector than you'll obviously need a different rail for top feed injectors.

Either way I'd guess that, no, you won't be able to effectively mount 850cc injectors into the stock 550cc rail without modifications or completely changing rails.

Hi,

Btw I'm having the same set up, that's; 4 X 850cc injectors. You were saying that I should replace my primary fuel injector rails, am I right ? What else needed as I intend to buy everything down from a supplier. Please enlighten me, thanks.

David,

What you have pictured is the FFE primary fuel rail, made by Full Function Engineering. That is an EXCELLENT fuel rail (I'm using the FFE Primary and Secondary fuel rails myself) that will fit top feed injectors.

The factory primary fuel rail will NOT accept top feed injectors, as it is made for side feed injectors. Here is a picture I found of the factory primary fuel rail.

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. I'll just stick to my stock primary fuel rail but will be using 850cc injectors set up. How can I clean the fuel rail before using it ? Please advice.

raising the dead thread

RHDJapan.com says that their Sard 850 (red) injectors are direct bolt on. No milling required

At our shop we just belt sand them to fit. put the rail on a belt sander until they fit they are easier then your making it out to be..
