1989 13b na into 1987 13b turbo
I own 2 fc3s a 87 turbo and a 89 N/A I'm working on rebuilding my turbo2 so engine is comming out since the chassis is built much stronger I would like to swap in my N/A motor my question is will I find any problems trying to install the N/A motor into a 87 turbo trans what hiccups may come up I keep reading that there are differences between a s4 and a s5 block and i shouldn't mix s4 parts with s5 parts any comments would be appreciated

My question remains is there any difference in a s4 turbo trans with a s5 N/A trans I read about the flywheel how I need to remove the turbo and install the N/A flywheel I don't understand why you need to switch the front cover or is it only if your still running all emission I'm in the works of deleting all my emmisions I also read a Lil about how the emission harness is different not really sure if I should be worried I did notice the alt being different could it be possible to run the turbo alt instead
OK nvrmd I realize the ecu wiring is not the same I'm going to need a s4 N/A ecu in order to plug in now since I got quite familiar withe the FSM could I just tap into the wires that I need from my s4 harness into my s5 ecu

The front harness under the dash will not be plug and play so you'll have to make some changes there. If you switch to an S4 ECU you will not need to change the front cover. Changing the cover is necessary when you place an S4 engine in an S5, but are switching to all S5 components, which means the OMP of an S5 would not mount properly to an S4 front cover thus the reason for switching.

Off topic.....
I need a fuel level gauge for my s5 N/A I keep reading that the gm guage reads backwards when installed part#4913 its a 0-90ohm gauge 0 on empty and 90 on full if I'm correct the s5 runs at 7 full and 95 on empty if my info is correct I shouldn't have anything to worry about yet I keep reading the Chrysler gauge is the more accurate any input
