Hey everybody, my name is Kris im for pa i recently just purchased a 1993 r1. I found it in a yard with a big wooden fence where you were unable to see it from the road or so she thought. So i noticed something back ther so i stopped and there it was. I bugged the lady for months and finally she parted. $2,500. So anyway 5th and reverse where gone had 105k on her and i stole the car from her. Needs minor things and a paint job. And id like to thank everyone on the forum bc this is where i came for all my info.

Congrats on that killer find. I recommend you contact Jason or Xavier at The RX7 Store for an ACT clutch kit. Get something close to racing but with a sprung hub for less stress on your drivetrain. Fill that tranny with some good fluid such as Redline or Amsoil. Should get your flywheel re-faced or better yet get a new aluminum one. Let me know how it turns out, questions welcome.
Kevin

Thanks everyone, also have an 87 gxl with 33k i picked up off my godfather after bugging him for years. It sat for about 15 years. I put an 80amp main fuse in it drained the gas and it fired up. I almost had a heart attack when it fired up that easy. Paid 500 for that and only had to put an exhaust on it.
lol that is a deal too joker, as long as it's still running well after a year.........i paid 13500 for my fd for it to eat it's primary turbo after 4 months :P
