Is it a d2s socket? What is the input socket for power? Basically we would give you the harness and say good luck, hope you can make it work. We also can't warranty it if you use your own parts. The cost savings for using your own ballasts would save maybe 60 bucks? (guestimate). As I stated in the FD thread, we buy many of the parts together in bulk, and once the quantities change the price per part for that kit is then ala carte so you dont end up saving much in the long run.

Bad news for fb :(
Well I have some bad news for the FB. The headlights will not fit the FB because of a depth issue. The headlight buckets are extremely shallow and fold down completely flat against the frame rail behind them. If they were to fit you would have to take a hole saw and punch a hole in the center of the headlight bracket continuing through the sheet metal of the frame rail. While this is doable, most people will not want to punch holes in their car and as a result we may have to drop the FB HID option. We are producing them for the miata as there is more room in the bucket to fit the headlights, but we wont specifically offer them for the FB because of the required hacking. If you are still interested we could make them available but as far as modifying your car to make them work you would be on your own. It looks like it would be possible to make them fit with modifications but it's far beyond what I would consider selling as a drop in "kit" . Sorry guys

I am really bummed out now my entire day is shot, Thanks
At least you were test fitting them and not just cranking them out and saying good luck. so the FB is still in the dark and our best option is prob the hella upgrades or something like them.
I appreciate all the hard work/effort in this and still look forward to seeing more Great products from SAKEBOMB GARAGE but since the lights for us FB guys didn't work out we need something to look forward to,so what sort of projects are you still wanting to do?

Well we may try a shorter projector but honestly, they are just too deep for the FB as the buckets fold up flat onto the vertical frame rail. If you want to take a hole saw to your frame rail they should fit... but most people wont want anything to do with that so the FB project will probably just get the axe.

The FC lights fit great and we are going ahead with them. We'll open up the FC groupbuy in the next day or so. I'm slowly writing it now at 2am lol. I'll make sure it won't change pricing... if we have to eat the extra cost, or build the rear shrouds by hand so be it. $799 or bust. We'll come through

Action shot as in what? The lights in the car? the projectors running? I did the test fit on the car, they fit. The projectors themselves are identical to the FD projectors. I was lucky enough to meet red dragon for an afternoon to do the test fitting, and they fit without modifications to the bucket.
It's ok to ask questions in the new thread but lets move all new comments/questions to the new thread.
Thanks, Heath

beam width, evenness of the light, throw, output intensity, optical clarity of the lens, cutoff sharpness, hi-beam solenoid quality if it even has one (depending on the ebay projector you are looking at) etc etc. The FXR projectors are light years beyond the ebay ones. The projectors we use are on par with mercedes, lexus, jag, lighting. (The bezel actually serves no functional purpose... just there for looks)

RotorMotor,
Could you let me know what all would be involved with getting the miata setup to work? Possibly pictures to see what one would be cutting? I've got a bastard child SA and have no qualms cutting if needed. Just want to see what all is involved.
