I was wondering the same thing. I just got here to Okinawa this past May. Only been here for barely over a month now. I just bought myself an FD a couple weeks ago.

I have a red FD. I know that there's is either 1 or 2 others that I've seen on Kadena. One of which has mods and I'm not sure about the other one. Mine is all stock...for now.
And yours?

Red with black headlight covers?
My fd is currently on jack stands. Its a long story.
Edit:nvm....... you got the one from johnnys. I saw you driving it on foster one day. I would hate to tell you you overpaid but you overpaid. I hope you didnt pay sticker price.
Either way, its clean and stock. Theres no arguing that. I would say a 99 bumper, 99 tails, and a 99 wing and you would have a pretty mean machine. All of those parts are for sale currently locally for a pretty good price.
I would suggest taking it slow and the very first ''power mod'' you buy be a power fc. You would be asking for trouble without one if you decide to start changing engine bay stuffs.

Yeah, that's where I got it from. And hell no I didn't pay the sticker price. I never walk onto a lot expecting to pay as much as the sticker.
Yeah, I'm already looking into getting the 99 cosmetics. The first thing that I plan to do is change out the filters and then get some rims/tires. The 99 stuff will come within the 4 years that I'm here.

I'm out here too.
I hope you didn't pay anything even remotely close to that original $9900 asking price. Those guys are rip off's.
The car scene is what you make of it honestly. My advice would meet some reliable friends, and make your own adventures, you don't need dorm rats and Skyline owners to enjoy the some of the roads out here.
There are a bunch of gymkhana events if you care to get into that. Otherwise, not much else. Curfew + shitty traffic = laaaaaaaaaaame. You might catch me romping around and depleting the ozone layer.
I'll have to see what FD stuff I still got laying around, I know I atleast have a full titanium Trust exhaust. I'll need to restock on the essentials before I PCS.

I knew that the car was sitting there for a while, so I talked with the guy and told him to make me a deal. After like an hour or so we came to an agreement, so we both walked away happy in the end.
I know this other dude that I work with who has a black '93 FD with a 99 front end and bronze/chrome wheels.
Where do they hold the gymkhana stuff at? I haven't gotten much time off base to go and explore much yet. The only place that I've been to is some restaurant in American Village.

Don't think I've seen that black FD before.
The gymkhana stuff is in Nago since its the only "circuit" really still open.

Sorry late reply. Deployed? What a tough deployment!!!
Lol, are you still out here? There's a handful of great rotary powered cars out here, nothing like mainland ofcourse. Try checking out one of the last Saturday of the month meets at the big Mihama parking lot if you haven't.
I've been here for nearly 5 years, and I went to one for the first time last month. Needless to say, I'm not a big fan of car meets, but was pleasantly surprised to see a small collection a 3 generations of RX-7's.

20B's on bookoo are rarer than rare. Your best and damn near only bet to find a 20B for sale in Japan is on Yahoo Auctions Japan, or get lucky talking to the right person.
