RX7 pages/forums in EU?? (looking for a car to buy)
Hello every one
I am fonaly getting myself a proper car!
But, there are some small issues first: I need to find it!
I am looking for a black european LHD RX7, made in 94 or 95. This means that the VIN should end with 3XXXXX or 4XXXXX and the color code should be PX or PZ. (A white car could be considered if it meet the above criterias)
Since Norway never sold any of them, i need to look down in the rest of europe.
The problem is, that i suspect such a car will not end up in any of the search engines, so i need to find some communities to search in. I am currently looking through mobile.de autoschout24.de, autotrader.com and blocket.se for cars every day, but its mostly just JDM imports, and i dont want that.
So, does anyone know of such a car that is for sale, or can direct me to any relevant forums? Location is not a problem, since a plane ticket to Sweden is the same as to Germany or Italy.
Please help

I would suggest to first look around Dutch forums and classifieds. There was a black FD LHD selling near Amsterdam. Check local ads and forums such as rx-7club.nl/
Not all europeans post their car for sale on mobile.de and autoscout. So you gotta search through country specific classifieds, google translate is your friend. For example I believe marche is a popular french classified site.
Use ooyyo as well....it will scan through some european classified sites with good results
Try using country specific mazda forums and ask the locals there...they will tell you if they know of a FD for sale. I know there is a german RX forum and a czech forum....
Its very hard to find a LHD FD in Europe...most of them are RHD imports. It took me 5 years of searching mobile.de and autoscout till I found a LHD FD in Germany that I bought for 8500 euro.
But I remember this summer I saw a LHD FD in Italy for sale, one in Germany and one I mentioned earlier in Netherlands. I also noticed that Greece has quite a few FDs...so try looking there.
try marche.fr/
rx-7club.nl/
rx7.cz
rx-7-power.de/
You will need time and patience to find a good LHD FD. But I think you are being to specific with the color and year, it will make it even more difficult for you to find it. You would be better off with a good non black 93 FD than a abused black 94 FD...just my two cents.
But anyway...good luck with finding an FD!

Thanks for the links! I will check out all the forums! I know i need to be patient to find a car here, and i have started researching the option to import from the US, in case i dont fin one here.
The 94/95 age requirement is final, but the color could be anything, but i prefer black or white.
I tried creating a user on the rx7.cz forum, but i only get an error

I had to answer a security question that was czech language...but once I figured that out with hIGGI's help...I was able to make an account.
Courious, why are you final on 94/95?
My FD is a US import...
I think should start looking into importing from the US, many good FD's over the pond. And many that have never seen snow!

They have double airbags, and i have valuable passengers
I am, but the only problem is that the US cars do not have EU papers, adn thus registereing them in Norway is troublesome, and i would love to avoid that kind of trouble

Ok then I guess getting a 94 or 95 is justified
The way I imported my FD to Croatia is that I found a law in Croatian import laws that lets you get an exemption from import restrictions if importing a vehicle older than 30 years (old-timer) or a vehicle younger than 30 years that is a very rare/exotic car that will enhance the technical and engineering culture of the country. Considering there is only a few FDs in Croatia I was able to classify the car as "rare" and I got the exemption.
Maybe there is a similar law in Norway...if the FD is rare enough to get the exemption.
If there is, then you could import a US model...
