What To Do Next?

Hey everyone, I have recently been interested into drifting my 87 Rx7 Turbo 2. I have done some things too it but not too much. I have a s4/s5 hybrid turbo, corksport fmic, works eng boost controller, 3" exhaust, BC Racing BR Type Coilovers (10k), bride low max bucket seats, new diff fluid, stripped interior (awaiting black carpet to become available), new pads and rotors, and e brake cable. Also more random maintenance no on cares about lol. I am wondering what I should do too the car next. I am thinking angle mods and dtss eliminators? Any pointers and guidance would be much appreciated. Thank you all for your time!

^ that. mainly DTSS eliminators and seat time! mod your car as you advance as a driver. only angle mod I did to my car was the mazdatrix kit and I still dont feel the need for knuckles just yet.

Get rid of those DTSS bushings. Be careful pressing them out, you can brake the knuckle. I like the Racing beat versions

Dont bother drifting without any angle mods. Stock angle in an FC is sad. You'll spin out all the time and get frustrated as to why its so hard when it reality its the car. You can start off with rack spacers to help, but in reality you wont be happy until you get knuckles. I'd recommend Ambercombie (prepare to wait) or PBM (Expensive)

The stock ebrake is prone to breaking. Basically the cam the cable goes through will start to separate due to it just being pinch welded. My cable got caught and then ripped apart because of this. Also get good pads in the back, HAWKs for example. If yo try to use some cheap organic ones you'll have a bad time. Either completely weld it before it fails and eats your cable or get a hydro.

Alignment : Get zero toe in the back or very slight toe out. FCs toe in under accel which will pull you straight over time. OBviously either toe in front slightly or 0 toe. Stocck caster is fine. Camber should be ~2-4deg front and the back will be between 2-4 depending on how low you go. When you get better and need more grip you'll have to get the camber adjuster linkages and try to reduce the camber to zero.

Biggest thing new drivers suffer from is led foot. They assume its just a giant burnout all the time and you have to have it floored. You want to just let the car slide, just initiate and get a feel for it. If you leave your foot on the pedal you'll just spin out. Dont worry the rear end usually sorts itself out if you have proper line/speed and initiated okay. Just dont floor it all the time, you have to modulate Just keep tapping the gas to keep the angle, if you stay it in you'll spin out due to the rears completely overpowering the front. Alot of drivers have to drag the rears for technical corners so its not all about power. Best way to learn is to follow competent drivers (not close) to get a good idea for speed/line.
