jeremy lowe has the same trans as i do and he had to cut and modify his tunnel shifter area. The "long" shifter sits off to the side of the trans and it has to be modded. A small price to pay for awesomeness

not yet. still waiting on my adapter to be machined. I meant that the tunnel area where the shifter goes needs to be widen. In realiality is all very simple. T2 bell housing, starter, adapter, 26 spline disc, trans mount and a drifveshaft.

Sorry guys for not updates, but the trans is in and the car moves under it. Just got to get it tuned and we are in business. I drove it up and down the street and the straight cut gears sound like the "******* devil" singing. 13b street ported with a big turbo and a sequention box sound intense. Can wait to show you guys in car videos of me drifting with it.
Parts updates:
1. I got a Gforce bellhousing adapter for a TII to GM $400 and i also had my input shaft machined by them
2. Went with a clutch master 26 spline disc and their pressure plate $500
3. Driveshaftshop aluminum shaft with billet yoke $450
Im not at home right now for part numbers but if anyone needs this info i can supply it. Every part is available for purchase online and a every easy swap if you are able to make your own mounts for the trans and diff.

Well, recently a buddy of mine got me hyped up on these aftermarket transmissions. I may not end up being the first to do this for a drift car but i think that a good alternative to a pricey G-Force or Tex Racing trans would be a Muncie. The M21/M22 have decent enough ratios it looks like, but maybe for drifting a M20 type ratio might make more sense.
In any case, it looks like they can easily handle anywhere from 300-500 ft/lbs, just depends on the amount of grip you have, condition of the transmission and what not.
I may go this route though since you can pick one up from about $600-900 in good condition. Would probably make sense to go with a 26/32 spline set up to make it easier to upgrade to a 'real' racing transmission down the line. But for Pro-Am stuff, I think it's the way to go. Lose some weight and hopefully never worry about breaking another FC 5-Speed.
(I'll just leave this right here)
Muncie 4 Speed Transmissions and Parts
Bellhousing - Mazda RX-7 13B/20B to Muncie/Jerico Transmissions
(^ the adapter is a bit pricey but a good alternative if you can't find a G-Force Adapter Plate)

Do you have the part number for the clutch you used? I can only find 5.5 and 7.25 multi discs that will work. If you have a single disc i'm interested please. How do you like your T-101?
