kit is too aggressive. Fenders are +100mm per corner. You're basically make the car 8 inches eider. You'd have to run crazy fitment wheels that would make the car drive terribly. Or run giant spacers.

Your saying the FD community didn't ask for a kit to allow them to tuck 18x15s with stretched 335s under the bodywork?

Yes, I have the same problem with widebodies on FDs. I have shown you can run 18x11 +45 and 295s F/R on stock body and it seems like the majority of "widebody" FDs have weaker fitment.

Aaaand that is why all the rest of the comments in this thread on this kit are about how it looks.

I did a quick paintchop of what real fd owners would make it look like:

edit:

this one simulated the sunken wheels better:

still way too low for fd guys. but im sick of paintchopping it.

also ^ that guy is an idiot.

Yea, most will probably not like it! RIGHT....

Speaking of aggressive...

For crying out loud, we vote with our wallets guys. If you don't like it, buy something else or leave yours STOCK. Personally, I think it's pretty cool and VERY aggressive. Now, will I be lining up to purchase it... probably NOT, but I do like the Design direction.

Not totally sold on the holes in the front bumper. For me it looks too NASCAR-ish, but again, that's just MY opinion FWIW.

oh dont get me wrong. I think it look super awesome and if I had an fd and it was availible I would highly consider it. I was just poking fun at the average fd owners style. too small of wheels that fit horribly and stuff, cuz "large wheels make it handle horrible." and junk. I still think the guy above my last post is an idiot.

edit, Also that supras wing isnt wide enough.

Added the FR-S V.2 Tra Kyoto wing, for the wing lovers...

And as far as wide bodies go... People will ruin anything. BUT, some will do it right.

Also using the BL/\CK L/\BEL Engineering bumper-mounted Track wing:
>>No Modification High mount track wing development<<

*By the way, the holes in the front bumper are supposedly going to be L.E.D. to replace the bumper lights.

I must say, I like the original renderings more than the final product.

This is arguably the ugliest Rocket Bunny car I've ever seen. Sorry. They (and Liberty Walk) have had really aesthetic designs, but this is absolutely garbage. The lines are harsh, rather than complementary, and just don't flow. Ant the front bumper does no justice to the car.

I think the kit has at least some potential, but the grey car failed to execute the look that kit was designed for.

Pass. Really don't like it. Mad Mike did it on his car and I still don't think it looks good.

Needs to be molded, and add an under diffuser to the factory rear bumper to make it all flow better. Also shave that dang gas door area...

Not too bad, not too bad- has some serious race car looks as a finished product.

The Gray FD definitely is in need of wider wheels/tires.

With a built LS it has reason to fill out those wheel wells with some 18x13 to 18x14 'Merican CCWs or Forgeline GA1R and 335/30-18s.

Sorry Volk, but Japanese wheel/tire manufacturers are weak on their widths... always leaves me scratching my head why they love widebody kits so much. Ah, visual impact.

Needs to be molded

Worst idea ever IMO.
Race cars have replaceable/serviceable parts wherever possible- molding in a widebody when it is already a superior bolt on affair screams "I'm a fluffy show car".

Also shave that dang gas door area...

Just shows how wide the fenders are to me...

My criticism on the kit is this-

Needs to deflect for or cover the bottom of the front tire more. Sooo much drag/dirty air.

Front bumper is a little "fussy" with all the little light holes- easy fix.

There are plenty of full fender replacements out there for the RX-7 which would provide the no-rivet look, without being called a fluffy show car... From a visual standpoint this kit would look much much better molded in, with that gas-door removed to match the other side. If it were me I'd move it to this location, outside of the weather strip, yet covered by the hatch:

The problem is that it's very very hard to beat the perfect factory lines of the stock FD to begin with...

I must agree that the front bumper does no justice at all for the shape of the FD... That ugly opening by the hood has to go.
