Yep. Believe it or not ive melted a cable before. But when i did that sleeving it was with the old manifold setup and the 13bt where the cable wrapped around the front and hung closer to the heat spot of the turbo mani. Now it just looks cool since the uim never gets hot and with how the turblown manifold places everything away from the block. I also opted to use an inconel heat shield from turbosource aka turblown to keep temps diverted downward.

Even went as far as to get a jdm aluminum under tray for the subframe to help channel air more efficiently.

Haters? Okay. I was just asking because I'd never seen a throttle cable wrapped before. Thanks for clearing it up

Partnered up with Andy over at RaceFAB.com to bring his FC, and FD dual caliper brackets in to my shop. This dude always puts out top quality fab work. Alot of OG's probably remember his FC build on here under S/N "rotorracing"

Doing so I decided it's time to make the jump from OEM over to hydro on the drift car, and give it some love. I'll be using an ASD "pull up style" hydro handbrake with this.

Two thumbs up from me for RaceFAB! check them out directly or hit the link in my sig for more pics on the site!

I have a sickness. I'm addicted to collecting rotary cars. Nice little gem to add to the collection. Probably going to drive it this winter, and re-list it around tax season.

yes sir!

some old pics during paint i never posted here for some reason

definitely the hardest color i've sprayed to date. had a lot of issues with the pearls and flakes being blotchy whether it be air pressure, inconsistent strokes/distances with my spray patterns, even overlapping.... I'm normally alright with spraying tricky colors but when we over loaded this color with 3x the amount of pearl it made things difficult. I sprayed most panels twice. the chassis was sprayed last and only once and although the panels behind the doors have a slight paint issue with "striping" I left it be as I was planning to only use the FC for another few months while I prepped my FD on the side in spare time for 2015.

But...as most everyone saw, the FD I picked up from JTP was stolen from me by a person I looked up to, and was storing the car with. I was planning to build it using the REW from the FC, along with the FC gearbox to retain the OS Giken twin disc setup. I'm lucky to have the purple car because just a few weeks before this happened both cars were at this location..

I've been focusing pretty hard on the shop. Investing into it/me. This season I will be driving the purple car, and although I'd loved to have been finishing up a new build right now, everything happens for a reason, and everything is on track as planned. I have the drift car, picked up a few FC's to flip to help fund this season, and put some love into my street car.

Someone wise once told me " RX7's are a dime a dozen, and you're a fool if you attach yourself to a certain car just because it can always be replaced"

I agree with your last point to a certain degree. If all you are using the car for is sliding it around knowing full well at some point you WILL be smashing something, yes. A clean, unmolested car with low original everything? getting hard to find these days.

But you have been putting in work in your absence on here, good work man.

Been grinding the past few weeks. Snagged a new ecoboost mustang, got the FD running and ride height dialed in, and finished the fab work on the FC with the exception of radiator and headlight mounts.

focusing on the FC for the next week should have more to post soon.

Didn't really check to see what's planned, but, what do you plan on running as far as engine management and also what's the target power output?
