Overfender install and molding...

A little hot out to be working feverishly in the garage but I need to get this done!

Corksport overfenders, slightly modified opening, will make fiberglass copies of the finished pair...

Yep lol I was in California in March and placed a few orders to bring some goodies home.

those look like the panspeed ones lol. I just got mine for the FD finally....damn mail strike. You used rivets to attach them to the fender then glassed/bondo'd it?

Corksport's are copies from Panspeed.

1. Finalize position, mark holes to drill evenly spaced, drill holes at points moving backwards and forwards between each, after the first 7-9 holes are drilled put in 3/4 inch sheet metal screws to hold the piece while you finish marking and drilling, fill the holes with 3/4 screws to check fitment and for any high areas that may need an additional one.

2. Back out your screws and scuff the fender area where the overfender will adhere, apply marine adhesive liberally to the overfender mating area and start mounting it with the 3/4 screws again, don't tighten the screws too quickly as you bleed out all the adhesive

3. Once screws are uniformly tight wipe the excess adhesive squeezed out from around the edge, return in an hour and repeat checking each screw and giving a little torque to any that have backed out or where the overfender has come up.

4. Let sit for at least 24 hours, back out screws when you're positive the adhesive has dried completely, bondo as required to smooth edges.

did you get to make replicas?, do you sell them?

I'll post just because I was wondering how to put on some overfenders without having to use rivets.

Wasn't enough interest. May still do it but the cost of making the initial molds is prohibitive.
