So I now have about 1000km on the engine breakin. Car runs reasonable well for base map. Had to tweak a bit as the fuel is pretty rich. Starts cold or hot. Still needs idle and throttle pump adjustments.

Anyhow, her she is sitting in the garage. Outside the car is just awesome in the sun. Extremely Happy with Classicauto paint job and choice of colour.

Also picture below is the worlds most expensive cat converter and RB flanges!!! Better pass emissions with flying colours and remove the odour.

So now see if I pass emissions, figure out why sequential ignition (AEM coils) does not work, get the car a tune and enjoy the summer.

My wish list over the next few years.
-Redo the seats
-Ground control coilovers
-Front lip (I cannot find one)
-Ronin Speed works big brake kit or SG garage if they ever make one for and FC HINT HINT...

Sounds like a plan. Once the car gets a full tune. We can get the guys for a BBQ and beer afterwords.

Well the plan was to use the air pump. My Adaptronic is wired to run the logic of the air control valve/air pump. Marco says I don't need an airpump to pass emissions with this cat converter.

Cat now installed. No pictures yet. Forgot to bring the camera.

So car now smells alot better. Its pretty clean even idling 12.5 in the garage during warm up. My brother driving behind me says he can still smell the car though.

But tomorrow the Etest will show the truth

Well it didn't pass. Idle at 13.3a/f and 2500rpm it was about 15a/f. PAss at 2500rpm test fails at idle.

2500rpm
HC =34
CO = .03

idle
HC = 471
CO - 2.68

Limit
HC=200
CO=1

Wondering if I have something wrong with my idle circuit.

Or just the converter wasn't lit good enough. Did you have to go for a good drive to get to the etest shop? Likely if the car was driven good and hard and then tested it would pass both.

It was warm enough. Drove 45 minutes almost to get there. He held it at 2500rpm for a long time too. Might be that it was idling at 750rpm? (Marco says it will pass if I turn the idle up ) I heard the car stall ou. If that was during the test the ECU goes rich for sometime when you restart it. Maybe he had the idle test during this rich time?

Turning up the idle to 1100rpm, leaning it out and hoping for a pass this monday. Just want the pain to stop. LOL

Shops say it might be because the cat has only 50km on it. Or the engine has 1000km on it?

Air pump installed programed to run all the time to port air. Aka injets air into manifold. I dont know if It did anyhing. Turned idle up to 1100. I think the only reason why it failed the first time is because it stalled during the test. Reconfirmed with tech it stalled during test when I went back. When this happens the adaptronic goes into 20% more fuel. Love the cat install. I can idle at stop lights and cruise without stink.
