ProjectFeint FC

Hello everyone! Pleasure to be on here!!

Recently picked up a beat 86 Rx-7 Sport model meeting my extensive 3 point criteria: non-sunroof, white, n/a.

Don't have any plans with this build, just going to have fun and document what I can in the process.

First day

good news, there is bucket loads of spare interior parts in the classifieds from failed drift projects. You will be back to 100% in no time.

Good to know! Love how much parts availability the fc has

Got the oem carpet reasonably clean, It will have to do for now. Going to post a lot of these before and after pictures.

Haven't been getting much done since my work schedule has been really funky lately but I managed to clean out the interior and change out the shift ****. Shifter bushings are virtually non-existent so got a new set from atkins on the way.

THREAD REVIVAL!

This was 7 months ago now when I was test fitting my rx3 fender mirrors (these fenders are trash) and wanted to get a good starting point picture haha. A lot has changed and some photos I will post are gonna be old and not in order. Had to set aside the 7 due to lack of funds/now ex-girlfriend/and plain ole lack of motivation

Put the wing back on, it's one of the most desirable options around.

More booty pics

More cragslist finds
~S5 rear bumper
~Modified EI distrubutor
~Very clean antenna
~S5 door trim
~Tps sensor

The whole interior of the car was covered in the same fine sooty dirt. Much nastier than it looks. Surprised the rear foam was in tact, it's staying on.

Much better, swapped out the rear side mouldings with clear lenses I had sitting to match. Cleaned up nice. Just waiting on a couple of aero pieces to come in the mail and the rear of the car will be done (Aesthetically anyways)

OH! More craigslist finds later today! Making a two hour trip to pick up some black carpet pieces. Super stoked for that adventure

Burgundy delete

New bins and floor mats from garage moon power, they make universal sizes that fit the fc contours pretty well

Man do these sensatracs suck! Bilsteins and no name springs? I have no idea what brand they are but it's a minimal drop, going with proper coilovers but don't want to mess with adjusting suspension components just yet till the engine/drivetrain is solid

How she sits now

~polished turn signal lens
~rattlecan trim + filler spots on hood
~claybar/waxed entire car
~scuffed rust + adhesive off doors & fenders

PO drilled sloppy holes in what could have been easily saveable ftp lenses. On the fence on restoring them or getting used units. We shall see

Haha I feel ya, it's worth it! Actually prefer the blue to grey imo, but after 25+ years it usually isn't a pretty sight

Those wheels turned out extremely nice. Much better with the black peeled/stripped off. Keep up the good work!

Was not in the right mindset when picking this up and feel I overpaid but oh well... You win some and you lose some.
