6 port euro spec s5 t2 build

Hi guys!
My name is Madis, I´m from Estonia (north europe), small country with about 1.3 million people living here. Porsches, ferrari´s, maserati´s and so on... are being more common than any rotary powered vehicle here so owning a rx7 is owning a rarity.
I´m really really terrible in writing but i thought i´d make a build thread finally.
Hope its not too hard and boring to read, i will start with an introduction.
so here it is:
89 t2, my second car ever

its cool that this exact car is the one i really started wanting a rx-7 afterall, but when it was on sale i didnt have any money, fresh out of school, no job because of economy crisis and so on.
so when i got a job after the mandatory army/navy time a few years later, this beauty suddenly comes for sale: and i knew i had to buy it, its very rare that a rx7 comes for sale in here, i only know one s4 what is not rotting in some back yard, never seen one driving on the streets ever..
So i got the car for 400€ with blown engine and towed it back home and discovered that it is a usdm 7, probably the 1st 7 registered in here, imported in 1994, guess someone had a rich uncle from the usa

started tearing down the car for bodywork(barely enough room to walk around the car) and a
few months later i managed to buy the t2(that i wanted a few years ago) with 1000 kilometers after rebuild, running but needed a lot of work.

Had to move to a bigger garage now with to cars (happy as fudge)
When i got the car idling and running good i noticed some similiarities with drug/casino addiction like man i just want a little bit more to drive and suddenly finding myself again in a gas station putting more money in the gas pump.

My friend bought a 944 s2 after i took him on a drive with my t2

the clutch shattered on the 944 so no driving that night

Unfortunately due to my own stupidness and weird symptoms and lack of aftermarket gauges i managed to blew the almost fresh rebuilt engine after i got to drive the car for 1500 kilometers, never had time to put pretty parts on it, mechanical troubles took all the time i had.
Somehow the woodruff key from the e-shaft disappeared from the engine(never found it) and without oil being pumped the engine seized.
I had most parts for a new engine but that meant that i had to sell my first love, decided to give it to a friend for some services i need in near future.

This was all last year so I´ll skip forward....
What i have done after and before the seized engine:

broken front lip, i think i have to buy a new one, doesnt seem too sturdy.

rear spoiler

nissan quest e-fan

Rial Viper alloy wheels what i got with the car

trunk

no room at all

this will replace the hitachi turbo

while changing the bushings for energy suspension i found out that dtss bushings were dead and ordered the delete bushing kit. ordering these put the work on hold for 3 weeks and i took the most what i got from summer

a little work out does´nt do any harm.

Need to dig out some more pictures of what i have done....
i have cheap ebay strut bars, lowering springs, ferodo front pads, mazdaspeed engine and gearbox bushings, new main bearings pressed in, tial wastegate, ported and painted irons and housings,Vems Wideband kit, Megasquirt 2, RB oil pressure/temp adapter, but i still need a good middle iron without excessive corner seal wear, new rotor bearings, Suspension( gonna go to bilstein b6 because of the price and availability)
bov, fmic and all the small parts to put everything together.

More pics coming soon, need to search a bit but now i need some rest, goodnight!
to be continued...

Ma ei räägi eesti keelt.

(I think you could really make your thread unique by doing the whole thing in Estonian. We can google our replies.
It'll be fun.)

Don't be so sure...this is the internet, people are starved for anything that doesn't involve cats or Iggy Azalea.

tundub, et ma leidsin pőhjuse miks mootor feilis, hooratas on s5 ja ülejäänud komponendid on s4

i think i know the cause why my engine failed, it seems the rotating assembly was all s4 with the exception of the flywheel (370, s5 t2).
can this make the key from the front of the e-shaft fall out? there was not too much of vibration to notice...

I ground out the diffuser, didnt have any t2 exhaust sleeves.
It was not as hard as i expected..

painted the engine also, i used black because i dont know where to get red, ordering online would have been too expensive.

Wheels also done, one thing is sure, i´m not gonna be a painter, but im still half-happy with the result, they look much better than before.
Not worth the effort in my opinion, the cost was about half of letting professionals do it and a lot of labor.

That's kool your building a 6port turbo also . Realized you commented on mine and say your thread under mine . So your porting the stock t2 intakes to match up with the 6port irons ? Find those injectors yet ?. I thought ms could run low imp injectors also ( don't know for sure though ) . And also what's the specs on the turbo , looks like the size of my holset hx-52 (67/70))

The intake is ported, the last engine was 6port already... my primaries (siemens deka 880cc) are high imp. so i need secondaries high impedance too. Dont know much about ms, my friend will tune my car.
found these http://www.ebay.com/itm/261393026291?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AITa little bit pricey but i think i can manage in near future.
The turbo is Schwitzer s3, i believe it´s from some truck, the turbine housing is t4 divided, i dont know more. It is almost as tall as a 1.5 litre bottle (we are using bottle units in here)

And about the parts :

Poor thing
The owner said that the engine blew, managed to find another one somehow, then it blew, then he swapped in a disgusting ford scorpio 2.9v6 engine with an automatic transmission then it blew and he installed a new scorpio engine and then drove into a tree in reverse and after that the car has sat in that spot for 8 years or something.
The hood also hit windshield and roof and overall this car is brutally abused.
It was on sale a few months ago for parts in south Estonia, a 2.5 hour trip there and i got all this for 150€, thats just the amount for shipping an iron from the US.

I will take the doors, fenders, front control arms and all misc parts that i can just in case if something happens in the future, luckily i dont have any competition of getting these parts so i can buy them when i have more money.

started cleaning the engine bay to remove some spots of corrosion, mainly under the abs pump and brake master cylinder, they both have leaked a bit.
At first i thought i have to paint it all, but after reading MickeytFC -s thread i thought i try to clean it up also..
Removing headlights was quite difficult, i wonder in what order they put it all together in the factory

it was blaze red after all, i always thought it was a little bit different color under the hood or just like that because of the age and heat or something

lots of rust here:

I really dont want to put back the abs pump since it didnt work and i dont want it anyway, can i just put a brake proportioning valve instead of that? has anyone done this? any thoughts?

Need to get my baby running soon, my mate really needs bodywork done, its getting critical . i have to have at least one car running... damn salt.

i hope it holds up til summer

i think its from a 1992 mazda 323 or so, got it from estonias mazda forum for only 35 euros and it fits so good with the interior.

i googled the text behind the wheel and found the same steering wheel with a different center piece ( a bmw )

so i found this thread: https://www.rx7club.com/2nd-generati...l-pics-946987/
i think im gonna do the same conversion and just buy the oem brake master cylinder from mazdatrix: https://www.mazdatrix.com/getprice.a...m=43-400D-FB02
86-92 All No AAS, no ABS 43-400D-FB02, the price of this thing is about the same as a wilwood proportioning valve, but installing it is much less complicated
what do you guys think of these ss brake lines: http://www.ebay.com/itm/FRONT-REAR-STAINLESS-STEEL-HOSE-BRAKE-LINE-86-91-MAZDA-RX-7-RX7-FC3S-S4-S5-RED/191164313975?_trksid=p2047675.c100011.m1850&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D28901%26meid%3Dc4674a2a38414dc7a3e48ad802d21fe4%26pid%3D100011%26rk%3D2%26rkt%3D10%26sd%3D291347236680they seem too cheap to be safe, but they are just simple hoses, how wrong can this go?

got a sms today that my rotor bearings and gear stick boot have arrived
so i had to start with pressing the old bearings out... found this denso electric motor outer shell, hammered out the guts and made it smooth with this machine for what i dont know how its named in english. used snow to cool it down. works nicely
also measured my apex seal grooves with new atkins seals, they seem to be in tolerance, only the tip of the 0.10/0.15mm feeler gauge can go in about 1mm deep and seals move freely. both are D weight and differ 8 grams from each other.

found some buyers for my old injectors to get some extra money, but got a speeding ticket that slows me down a bit. that was not my fault that i ran 33 km/h over the speed limit, it´s mazda´s, because they had put massive power in my 626 wagon.... it´s got 66kw under the hood
