It started life as a base model with no sunroof. One owner.

Alex Rodriguez (West Coast Forum Moderator) started the build.

I bought it off him after he parted it out.

He did all the paint work on it though even in my ownership.

This thing went through some serious changes! I love it man. Fris at Lucky7 originally built my engine. Sadly the front iron cracked for unknown reasons, but he hooked me up with another front iron that was port matched to the bad one. He's a pretty stand up guy. Anyways, your car is sick and makes me want to gut mine for track use since I finally have a real daily.

But it's a sweet piece indeed!

Excellent build, reminds me a bit of my car (vmount, same hood, color change, tasteful aero), and how I image it would have turned out if I had any money when I built it, lol.

Really nice!

It's obvious a huge amount of work went in, and it really shows. Awesome job.

There's some inspiration here I'll use in my own build.

Yes indeed! Secret was to eat cup ramen everyday and throw the money into the car. :3

Thanks! Started it about a year and a half ago haha. Did most of the big stuff last minute.
Dyno tune 4 days before sevenstock, corner balance 2 days before. Installed vmount a week before, wired and installed haltech a week before.

You tend to remember stuff when it's last minute. That's also when you tend to get no sleep

Car made 265rwhp, boost was dropping from 13lbs to 8lbs after 5k because I was still running the stock wastegate.

Ordered a new wastegate, gonna be installing that tomorrow.

Up next is to get a roll cage installed, and get some nice street tires for auto x.
These NT01s don't heat up fast enough for auto x so i'll be saving them for track days.

So here's a pretty big update. Sorry if I'm a bit all over the place. Trying to remember everything that's been done is a pain. Should really keep up with this build thread lol.

I purchased and installed a 10lb wastegate actuator, so now boost feels proper. The car feels crazy fast now. Estimated around 300whp. Boost comes in instantly at around 2300 rpm.

At ACS for sevenstock, the LC1 Wideband overheated on me and threw me into limp mode.
Since then, I purchased a haltech can hub. This plugs and play into the ps1000. Allows me to plug n play a racepak eventually, as well as my new wideband controller. Really cleaned up my harness inside the car. The LC-1 harness was a big junk of mess. Haltech is really ******* cool.

All that was required to install the wideband was to wire power to 12v source (battery).
I ran the ground to the battery as well. And to calibrate the sensor, I left the sensor outside for fresh air. Turned the screw on the controller just before the red light started to flicker. Will be out testing it this weekend to see if it overheats. Car runs the same after the switch.

I had to fab up a new ECU plate that mounts in the stock location. It fits the wideband controller, hub and ECU on a plate very nicely. I have plenty of more space for add-ons too now. If anyone would like a cardboard template, lmk.

I sent my car in to Alex Rodriguez Motorsports to fix the issue with my GT wing. The Big Country Labs mounts suck, they dent in the rear sheet metal if you plan on driving fast. It's fine for drifters and daily drivers. The downforce really did a number on my rear panel. I had to get a dent removal specialist to remove. Cost me 50 buckos.
Alex fabbed me up some custom wing mounts. They are pretty badass. Testing it out this weekend at ACS too.
Also they found my coolant leak issue, so Alex helped me fix it. Turned out the leak came from my housings where the LIM botls on. While they worked on that, I also had them block off my OMP since they were already there lol.
Also, I got some sabelt GT 090 seats, sabelt harnesses and a unknown japanese 320mm steering wheel from Alex too. The steering wheel feels really nice and sturdy, seats feel great. I wanna upgrade to a more ballin set of harnesses soon after sitting in my brothers FD and using his Schroth Racing 5 point harness.

I got my 6pt cage from autopower too! I got it installed, but found out that the main hoop, there's too much gap on the sides causing some issues. The a pillar bars that go toward the front of the cabin, can't even run them with the seat in because they interfere with the seat.

So for now I'm running a pretty expensive 4 pt rollbar lol.

Oh and PS. Don't buy extreme dimension parts for the FC. They fit like ****. Not actively looking for new sideskirts though because it doesn't really see much driving time.

Here, you can the old seat shoved in there with the a pillar bar there. Literally had to smash the seat to get it in there to move the car.

Here you can see the new seats installed, new harnesses and my really expensive 4pt roll bar.

Alex fabbing up custom mounts

SUPER RARE SSR Reverse Mesh. 17x8.5+22, 17x9.5+35. Planning on running some 255/40 Federal RS-RR as my autocross/street wheels. These are my all-time favorite wheels. My 10th AE had a rare set of 16in reverse mesh. That car has since been stolen, on going 6-7 years? I lost count :/

In coming are some door panels from Built2Apex. And I'm waiting on his new version of his splitter for the FC.

Thinking about buying some vortex side generators and center diverters from shine. But my wallet looks pretty empty nowadays.

Yeah definitely worth the wait. Ben put a lot of time into these kits and it shows. He even spent 24+ hours polishing up my old school hks bov without me asking him to. His attention to detail is crazy.

My turbo response with the kit is really nice. Real testing comes this weekend because it's gonna be significantly hotter than the last time I took it out in November.

I'm confident my water, oil and air temps will be awesome on the track this saturday. Planning on driving it real hard.

I'll post up some logs, vid and pics after this Saturday.

I still need to get my wing and splitter on.. But mine is running ok

Fantastic read, thank you. Did you or Alex do any kind of bracing to the inside of the rear body panel where the BB wing attaches or is the modified outside bracket the only change?
