Big shout out to Erick here, he traded me even-up for my S5 turbo manifold when I needed an S4. Thanks again man, I appreciate it!

give or take its good for around 280-300rwhp@12psi. you need about 900x4 injectors, or equivalent. larger intercooler than the T2 stock unit, 3" exhaust, and then you should be good to go
Awesome, thanks Mike! I hope it's good for about 300, that's about what I'd like to see. Maybe a touch more but I'm not going to push it. I've got everything set up besides injectors right now, will be hunting for some good 1,000cc primaries and secondaries most likely. Thanks!

Yep, pretty much what I thought. Thanks for confirming!

And thanks man, it's slowly plugging along here

This is my little update here...
I picked this up last weekend, making it so I own 4 RX-7's at the moment.

Not only did I get a dirt cheap TII, I got it to start in less than an hour of work

So here's my dilemma right now.

I have an FB and an FC.

I need a daily driver. The FC runs...somewhat. I have plenty of S4 TII parts that would work with the FC.

I'm thinking of going to a 12a in the FB, and building the TII with my aftermarket parts. I just can't afford to build two TII cars at the same time right now. We shall see in a while.

I can always afford to go big in the FB later.

So it sounds like you'll need an awesome Nikki for your 12A.

A modded nikki, decent exhaust and some rear end gears would really wake up an otherwise stock 12a imo... That's the way I was probably going to go before I picked up my TII setup.

It would be a shame to see your plans for this shell take a complete 180 though, I've been excited to see this build progress, but I see where you're coming from having two turbo cars.

Oh well in that case, make it a hogged out boost prepped Nikki. Save the EFI crap for the FC.

I hear what you're saying FBorDie. The plan is to do a woken up 12A next year. I'll obviously start out NA but might get a turbo. I see zero reason to do a TII swap. The Nikki can handle boost perfectly the way I mod them.

Got a huge garage project done finally, can get back to working on cars now!

Follow the pictures, top to bottom, to watch the progression from nasty and messy to insulated, cleaned, reorganized and finally useful.

I need to work on my brother's Honda Civic before getting back to the FB TII Swap. I'll be building the Blue TII as well since the same brother with the Honda is buying it from me, already half paid off. Will be cool to have a pair of two awesome 7's rolling around next summer.

Completely random, but is that the factory roof panel that came off of my car next to your tool cart?

Why didn't you Sheetrock the walls?

Also, ATGStores or whatever it's called has rim racks for only like $40 shipped each. Should invest in one .

That workspace looks awesome! You did a good job with that work bench. Might I suggest some pegboard on the wall above the workbench to hang some tools? Or perhaps a Miss Mac Tools calendar?

Haha no, that one isn't from your old car! It's from my parts car on the car hauler right now. I still need to go scrap that shell. First I have to find the title that I misplaced though

I may end up cutting the whole floor out of that car with a reciprocating saw and welding it into the SA with the widebody though, time will tell

If it was my personal garage I would have put up rock on the walls, mudded, painted, installed a natural gas heater (since I found a natural gas line that comes into the garage at the very end of the project), and done quite a bit more. Honestly, almost everything that I put into this project, both time and money, is pretty much a donation. This is my grandparent's garage at their house and I will only be taking my tools and parts out of here, obviously I'm not taking the insulation and plastic back - and we all know once you spend time there's no way to get it reimbursed. They don't really work out there at all anymore due to old age, so I did most of this for when they eventually sell the house. The next owner could just throw up sheetrock on what I've done to the walls and choose what to do with the roof.

Yeah, I need a rim rack badly. Thanks for the tip!

Thanks man, I'm digging it so far! I'm looking into putting pegboard up above the work bench there, we will see what ends up going there. I thought about another small shelf, but that would block a bunch of the usable light. We will see though

I wish there was a hot chick rotary calendar...might have to get on that

I just thought it looked familiar because of the fading paint and no clear coat haha. Though I didn't realize you still had that SA, the white one correct? I was under the impression you tore the widebody off and scrapped the shell.

Also just sharing my experience with pegboard- They work well in theory, putting all of your frequently used tools out in the open where they're easily accessible, which leaves the box open for more specialty tools. Personally I've found that with our larger garage I end up having to make trips back to the wall which is farther than the box and therefore less convenient for me. A well organized box is very quick to use. Though in a smaller space like yours who knows, it may work. At the end of the day it's all up to personal preference. Have you ever visited the GarageJournal? Awesome website, I spent a lot of time there researching and getting input from people when I was buying tools for my job.

Either way it looks like an awesome space for a single car! I find our space often gets cluttered with parts just due to the fact that we've got so much space. Having two other cars in the garage helps keep the clutter down because I'm not tempted to toss parts everywhere! .

BIG OL' BUILD UPDATE

Hey guys,

It's been a while since I updated this thread with my intentions for the build of this car so here it is.

My plan for the rest of this winter and into spring is as follows:
Finish the wiring tuck
Weld/sand/finish the engine bay
Install fender flares to cover the super wide wheels
Paint the engine bay
Sand entire body
Repaint body of car with flares installed
Mount the FC subframe in the car
Finish the interior of the car 100%
Weld in the manual transmission mounts
Rebuild and port the engine
Install engine and transmission
Mount front mount intercooler
Fabricate entire 3" exhaust from downpipe back
Fire it up
LET IT RIP !!!

In order to keep costs down and keep the build moving forward I think I'm going to forgo any extraneous and lengthy upgrades to the car from this point forward. I need to get this thing running and driving for this summer.

Remember, I picked up that 87 TII with 102k miles on it and my brother bought it from me. So I need to repaint that whole car and most likely go through the motor to be sure it'll be good for this next summer.

I need to get all this done while trying to plan my wedding, buy a house, finish two RX-7's, have school 3 nights most weeks while working on my Mechanical Engineering Bachelor's Degree, and trying to live life other than all of this...should be a fun time! (I love a challenge if you can't tell )

No worries man. Yeah, I've still got the Mark 1 Widebody SA up North. I haven't even seen it since the day I purchased it... I've been really busy and don't really need another car on my mind at the moment anyways.

Now that it is on my mind though, I think I will weld in new floor pans and repair the body 100% on it. I'll repaint it and make it into a beautiful example of a tastefully modded widebody SA. Probably keep the 12a with some modifications and a large port for that super brappy idle we all love. It'll be a cool build once I get around to it, maybe in a winter or two

My dad has pegboard in his shed at home and I'm not a huge fan of it either. The consistent need to go back to the bench wall gets really old for me. I'll probably stick with the cart for now and figure out where I plan on going from there. Thanks for the hint with Garage Journal, that site is awesome!
