I like how you used the nutserts to mount the quarters, makes it easy if you ever have to remove them.and that hatch is awesome, i want one of them so bad.how did you install the wing,i just recently picked one of them up and was wondering how much drilling is involved to mount it.great job

The wing is simply bolted to a sandwiched plate of aluminum under the factory steel.

Needs a little more low, but I see steerage, suspension and braking are next.

You're swapping it out for the Nikki, right?

The beauty of it is that I can put almost any carb I want on it, as long as I make an adapter to 2.5" tube for the turbo inlet!!!

Less you want to cut a hole in that pretty hood; I don't think a downdraft is possible. But I've never seen an eldleford turbo in person.

If you can.... QUADRAJET!!!! or appropriately turned Holley. I think quadrajet's spread bore would be good on a rotary.

The carb is as low as the turbo, so there should be room?

Ah, duct work... didn't think about that

Then you're gonna run into VW's single carb issues. Fuel icing. But you are close to a radioactively hot turbo.

The Nikki does work well when you force feed it boost and use a 1:1 boost referenced fpr. However if you're wanting to use it for draw-through, it is a small carb as you know. Good luck.

Actually, the Nikki is only a small carburetor if it's airflow is divided in half, and used on a dual plane intake (like the factory)

The draw through setup has 2 advantages:

it converts the intake manifold type to a common plenum, effectively doubling the carburetion.

it also will see greater vacuum at the turbo inlet than atmospheric, because the turbo functions as a 1 way air valve. As the boost goes up, so will the forces on the carburetor that draw it's signal. It will actually flow a bit more since the standard measure of inches of water will be altered.

That's how guys with the tiny hif44 SU managed to get 220+ rwhp from elford 12A's. It's a 245 CFM carburetor...

Well I've located the power steering bits.

All there's left to find are my coilovers (will probably order new), and the t2 brake adapter kit that sometime pops up for sale.

If anyone has any leads on parts, lmk!

I saw this, but didn't want to ask you to separate stuff...

I'll be keeping the 4 lug, and I wouldn't need the shocks and stuff because I'm going with the coilovers.

Would be great to have though, lol

there is a guy on ebay that has the big brake kits for like around 400. I got one, they are great quality, if you order one,you have to tell him if you are going with 4 lug, or 5 lug ,because the spindle adapters are a little different
