Prelim testing shows mucho improvements over stock in terms of temperature stability, though that's just from the difference in thermal mass. Considering it only took a few seconds to add 10+ degrees to the stock IC it's worth the weight penalty to me. Still need to get my car weighed though :]

Not yet, though I dont really have an excuse for not putting it in yet. Trying to address wheel hop at this point, but I should have WI installed before the next Auto-X season.

I'm interested to see your WI setup. Since we both have similar setups I'm curious to see how you're going to do it.

Are you going with straight water or methanol mix?

Also, what ECU are you using? Right now I'm running the PFC now but REALLY leaning towards getting an adaptronic.

Power FC here. I normally just run straight water unless the temperatures drop below freezing to keep the tank from cracking. My nozzle will be at the bottom of the greddy elbow, and the pump will likely be mounted on the driver side frame rail. I'll be using the washer fluid reservoir as the WI tank.

Thanks man, yes it has.

Anyone that has installed a samberg differential subframe on a 94+ should have these pieces laying around. Requires some welding.

They used to be on XLR8s car. The connector plates that I welded on are included with samberg rear subframe kits to adapt their subframe to the 93 cars. His car is a '94 so he didn't need the plates or his old subframe connectors(the samberg cradle replaces these)

Where can we order these plates and braces? I can get the braces from the dealer but would love to find the plates so I dont have to make them.

FD Cobra 8.8 Cradle | Samberg Performance

W shaped pieces towards the top of the picture there..

They dont list them separately on their website.. I would contact them and ask how much for just the plates.

Picked up a crappy mazdaspeed rep hood for $80... actually a really good deal. Went to close the hood...interference with the intercooler, big time. So...went to the internet for inspiration and saw this hood: The "Full Blast"

and here's how I did...

I still need to clean up the edges and install some mesh, there's also the issue of the belt and alternator getting wet in the rain...so some sort of deflector will have to go on.

Leading coil has been out this whole time... I feel kind of dumb for never testing it.

Fitted a Corbeau FX1 pro seat, 96+ y-pipe, knee pads, Nardi gara wheel with 1" extension, RX-8 4.44 R&P and limited slip, put the stock hood back on, new leading coil and updated harness, banzai racing trans crossmember.

1300cc secondaries coming soon.

Wooo! You've been busy lately!

I was impressed to hear the difference with replacing the leading coil. Makes a lot of sense.

Small updates:
N3G1 twins installed
Sequential turbo operation restored(thanks Dale!)
Intercooler fan and water sprayer installed for between runs
Water injection set at 9psi
boost at 12psi

Car was missing out on a lot of power below 4,400rpm. As long as I can adjust to the new powerband easily it should be more effective!
