In the mean time forum members Zeepower and Sgtblue pointed out the 99' Efini y will slide into the existing 93' port ( not the technical name ). In either case once I get into it I have two parts to work with, probably end up going with the low mileage one on the car more than likely... find out soon enough.

Last of the IC parts in
More parts in, time to get under the hood. Black silicone couplers and T-clamps are in and my PFC holder has arrived. Time to dive in and see what new problems there are to be resolved along the way.

now I'm thinking to myself, self, did you move this car without warming it up or did one of your SONS get curious! Who knows, my memory isn't that great and no finger prints in the dust, just deflood it and get it started. 
Here's a couple of pics of them cleaned up. It's almost car show time around here so I need to keep things moving along with this build.

Yah, I think the phone is gonna go. Though it has helped win some shows, most folks don't realize the age of these cars because of the timelessness styling of these things and the mileage on this one. Once they see the phone they appreciate the car more but I think it's time for it to go.

So I have been busy dealing with the Texas weather nutty as it can be. None the less another part and we are just about ready to start bolting on. HKS twin power from Rotary Yo and was shipped in what I assume is the original box with instructions. 
he included a mount for the twin power that I think mounts to or around the cruise control module. Not sure but we will find it a good location. See pics.

FWIW, I mounted mine on the firewall behind the cruise control. You have to remove the washer hose mount tho.

Looking good! I think you have a good recipe going for your build.
On the 3000 RPM hesitation and grounds - upgrading grounds, especially the negative battery terminal, will help, but not eliminate it. It's a bug in the stock ECU, plain and simple. Good thing is the PowerFC will totally eliminate the hesitation.
In other words, don't get carried away with playing with the grounds since you have a PFC going in. Add a ground to the negative battery terminal and be done with it.

Then
A little Black Star rust preventer after sanding, primer and paint and that problem was solved. Next issue that was about to rear its ugly head was removed. The cross over pipe out of the y-pipe, hose clamps were so loose it is any wonder it was making boost.

Point is
No matter how clean, unmolested, low miles, these cars must be taken apart if you are to keep them in tip top shape. That's just what a 20+ year old car is gonna require. That is unless you are going to drain the fluids, put them in a tempered environment (museum) and NOT drive them. IMHO

Went ahead and mounted the HKS. Haven't sorted the wires yet but I like the mount. Out of the way and it looks like it belongs there.

A very common issue on these cars. Water and battery acid will leak down that bolt and rust the fan motor and intercooler support bar. You can order the bar, but it's almost not worth it. Better to etch and paint, probably. Looks good.

Belts
Did you know.. Mazda has "retired" the alternator belt "N3A1159089LL" and only has the AC belt " N3A115907" available? Found this out today. Can't dive down this deep without changing the belts out. Guess I will check out the vendors here on the forum. I am sure they will have them, just surprised to here Mazda would retire one of two belts...
