Same here, you forget about all of the hard work and how many times you wanted to quit and how much money spent once you turn that key and go for a drive. Glad to see you out enjoying the car.

I'll post some more videos and pictures up this weekend since I have the autox.
My gopro2 is going through some firmware issues right now so it's in the freezer getting ready for a new flash.
But my gopro1 is up and running so i'll have something to use.
I might just pick up the gopro4 since it can record in 1080p at 120fps!

Didn't expect these to come in today but nonetheless was very excited!
How it looks right now without them....ugh
I also tried waxing the car recently. It seemed to be working well when I was doing it at night in my garage. Then I looked at it in real lighting. Kinda disappointed but I'm to blame. I didn't have a buffer and didn't really have good lighting to keep buffing until I got it to a good shine.
I only did the hood and headlight covers to see how it would work.
Hood
Unwaxed fender
Products I used
I got this stuff because it's specific for black cars
Doesn't look too bad from afar
And I need to adjust the camber on my DS rear wheel
I had to get a new camera too because some ******* stole my last one out of my truck. But I'm really happy with the camera I bought so not all is lost.
I'll be taking a lot more photos of the car since I want to play with my new toy.

Today was the autocross. What a great day! It was a little colder than we would have liked and it rained lightly for a good 20 mins while we were setting up but by the time we ended up running it was dry. It gradually got colder and everybody was losing traction as the day passed.
I think I did pretty decent on garbage stock sized street tires that are dry rotted on the side walls. My best time was 67 seconds.
The fastest (and seconds fastest) time was set by a Miata that had a very good driver (same driver for both times). He beat out a lotus elise and a very well setup BMW. His times were in the 55s range.
I have picture of the BMW, the lotus wasn't all that spectacular.
Getting ready to load her up
Patiently waiting. I got there an hour before registration opened up to help.
Pretty decent sized course. Some of the drivers were saying that it was actually really narrow due to the turns
Buddies Roush getting sidewayz
BMW that should have gone a lot faster; seemed underpowered.
The sweet shot
I do have videos of my runs. They'll take a while to post to youtube so i'll start them tonight and post them tomorrow.

Today was a pretty productive day for me working slow and BSing with one of my neighbors for about 2 hours.
Definitely recommend everyone do this:
Repaint your cowl. Wow, what a world of difference. I should have taken a before shot.
Paint I used
I bought new covers but painted them to match
All done
So when I installed new carpet, I totally forgot to install this little guy. I had to remove the seat to correct another issue I was having
Issue I was having with the seat bolt
Had to re-tap
Gotta give Ray another call to get some new parts.....again. Another list for him pending.
I also learned something new the other day casually reading on the forum. Apparently, there is a check valve in the brake booster line hose. Makes sense. I ditched mine when I was just replace a bunch of hoses with the leftovers from the vacuum hose I bought.
I have definitely noticed a hesitation coming from boost to braking, like .5s hesitation. Another parts from Ray.
All in all I'm enjoying the car and the little things I have left to do to it. Its not an overload like it was before so I feel like just casually working on the car when I can.
It's nice

I got the cowl covers from Ray. Just ask for them and Ray will look them up.
It wasn't hard to fit the greddy smic with the stock intake.
The pettit duct is another story though. It needed to be trimmed slightly.
Right now I'm running the stock radiator but running into some fitment issues that I'm addressing. Apparently, there is something blocking the DS fan from coming on. I plan on upgrading to the koyo n-flow soon and I will have to lower both the AC condenser and the radiator to accommodate everything for appropriate fitment and ducting.

auto-x really has a different set of cooling problems before you're not going very fast in the parking lot.
at least on a road course you get a LOT more airflow to cool the car down, but you're also using the engine and brakes much harder.
edit, ah, yes. well i'm just comparing to motorsports events that don't have cones to keep you below 60mph
