93 Base 20B GT42R Project PART 4... Time to Get Serious...

So I bought a 99' DLM built Viper and had it for 2 years. The Dodge Viper is my dream car but I sold it to buy a house last Christmas. Now I am finally going to finish this shitbox. The car was recently dropped off at a shop in STL to finish the body so that my uncle can prime/paint it.

I picked this up today. A pieced together 20B shortblock. I have rear iron #D154, thick iron #C339, 3 excellent condition T2 rotor housings, 2 "C" weight 8.5 compression rotors, and 1 "D" weight 8.5 compression rotor. The center iron and front iron have no markings on them so they might be 13B parts. I also got a FD front cover and stock UIM. I picked a E-shaft from a batch of 4. I am not sure what series the E-shaft is. I also got all of the counter weights, oil pick up tube, and the tensioner bolts. I am going to run the Kiwi 12.7mm stud kit. Some of the housings and irons have been ported but I am going to have them all matched up to the largest port. I also got a stock UIM. I am going to run the Xcessive Shortened LIM. The secondary fuel rail will run 93 pump gasoline. The primary fuel rail will run straight methanol from the smaller fuel cell. I got this setup for $4700. Hopefully that was a good deal.

So a long overdue update. The shop who put the parachute on and the rear flares ended up screwing me over. They did not weld the flares on correctly. They simply tack welded them on and did not cut out the original 1/4" panel and mini-tub it like instructed. I ended up having to go pick up the car after they stripped the car of some parts including the carbon fiber rear diffuser. I then ended up trailering the car down during Christmas vacation 2014 to my house in South Florida from St. Louis, MO to finish the car. The car was dropped off at my neighbor's shop here in West Palm Beach. He does custom body work for mostly restorations and drag cars. I'll post some more progress pictures over the next week or so but the car is almost done with the body work so I can put it back together the rest of the way in my own garage.

I currently have a 2008 Viper SRT10 that I will be selling in the next month. The build time on the 2017 ACR Extreme is around 6 months and I put the order in 2 weeks ago so my RX7 should be finished at the body shop well before the ACR arrives (I hope).

Awesome build bud. Tell me how did you get the stock studs out the wheel hubs. I need to run spacers too and need to get extended studs in there?
Thanks man
