bought my 2nd e6k unit from this forum member earlier this year and ended up being a another broken one (1st one bought on ebay and also was broken, luckily i got a refund through ebay). keep in mind, i had this professionally installed by garage life and they do fabulous work and have a great reputation. anyways, tried contacting him numerous times but would not return my calls, text, or Pm's. so i took a big hit on my paycheck and junked the thing... pretty disappointed and broke now trying to get my car running. thanks to him, im living paycheck to paycheck for the next few months. he promised it was 100% guaranteed working and prior to removing it from his car and just upgraded for a sprint re (for me thats hard to believe if he is ducking my calls and voice messages). In conclusion, this was a big lesson learned and wont be doing any more business like this, especially used ecu's with members from others states. I guess there isnt much straight up and honest people in this world anymore. thanks for nothing. Guys i would suggest to just stay away from this forum member and keep your cash in your pocket.

In his defense, he DID say that it 'wouldn't last'.

Sorry as im not on here as much anymore and just seen am email of this today.

The e6k i took off was off my 88 t2 that i pulled in my work RUNNING. This was a perfect working setup for years and ran some good power numbers with it. only reason i took it off and sold it was because i was planning on making bigger hp numbers and wanted the ffe crank trigger kit and the better operatiing system. there are several people here where i work (one a member on here) that can vouch for this system being in good working shape. i am a certified auto technition, i know what i am doing with these systems and have installed about a dozen standalones in mostly rx7s and a few other exotic setups. im really sorry youre having trouble with your haltech but this system was 100% operational. ive seen alot of people even experienced people make mistakes on installs and most wont man up to their mistakes. when i did the removal of the e6k i drove it in, shut it off switched my battery kill switch and even removed my battery (i was gona build a battery box) and unplugged the ecu so theres no way i could have shorted anything during the removal because there was no batt + or neg to even cause a short.
