eBay My World - rotaryshack

I dont (and wont) have any experience with RotaryShack thanks to this forum.
Since this low life crook is on ebay with a handful of sales in the last month, thought to post this on here in case someone falls for it

You need to count yourself lucky then...he still owes people money for things he never delivered. He still owes one guy money after the guy sued him and won. Rotary Shack was kicked off this forum because they had so many complaints it wasnt funny.

I also have no issues with Rob. Hes has immensely helped me offering information, as well as building my custom turbo manifold, carb hat, and downpipe. Thanks to him I boost prepped my Weber the correct way by myself. "Teach a man to fish."

I would put money down you'll not find a person who knows more about boosting FBs than Robert. Period.

In the past Ive read of quite a few issues, but his shop has changed quite a bit. I personally wouldn't even ask another else how to properly time, boost, or build a blowthrough setup.

I don't know him personally, only professionally. Just my 2 cents.

I'll also chime in on Rob. I've never had a problem with Rob and actually count him as much an asset to the local community as I do Lucky 7. More so if you're running a carb rather than EFI.

Interesting that the OP posted a link to his EBay feedback page which dates back to 2008. In the last 12 months he's had 125 feedbacks all 100% positive and dating back 5 years to 2008 he's only had one meaningful negative feedback situation. And even in that instance Rob gave a full refund even though Rob felt he was the one getting screwed.

To use the Moderator's words for appropriately, what suggested is not funny.

For the record, I feel sorry for what ever happened to who ever it happened to as suggested by the Mod. I'm only speaking from my own first hand experience that the EBay feedback seems to align to and have never personally heard stories to the contrary. I was scrolling through the forum headings and was honestly surprised when I saw the posted title.

Regardless, obviously the powers of this forum have their reasons why they excused Rob from participation in this forum and continuing to do so. Gotta respect that as well. End of story.

Thats all well and good, but it is the position of this forum that he is not allowed here, nor is any such positive feedback about his shop. The reasons for this are many and it was not my decision alone. The guy has simply screwed over too many people for too much money....he was caught by multiple moderators, including me personally, lying about his actions. And then when he was booted, he recruited a couple of friends to come in here and sell for him anyways.

I'm glad that you are getting your parts from him, but to hear him tell it, he never did anything wrong, so there would be no need for the shop to "change". In the interactions I have had with him, he denied ever doing wrong to people. Hell, the only reason he obtained a business license for his shop was because he got sued by a customer and that customer filed a complaint with the state of CA against him.

I'm also sure he knows a lot...but knowledge is worthless when he cannot be trusted to actually deliver what people pay him for. As recently as a few months ago, I heard from someone who paid for parts and never received them....so forgive me if I dont believe that he's a changed man.

As far as Rob's ebay account goes, we are not ebay. What he does on ebay does not mean he has done or will do the same things here, as proven by his past. Ebay is easy and lots of scammers use that to build some credibility.....its one thing to say "look at my ebay feedback" when youre on ebay. Its another when someone accuses a shop of ripping them off somewhere else, and that shop can only say "look at my ebay rating".

I do not ban someone from this forum for their ebay score....likewise, I will not excuse the actions of that person on this forum because they have a good feedack profile on ebay. He has numerous threads about him on this forum, where people were shown to be in the right and still got stiffed by him. Thats what we go on. We address what the person does HERE, and on here, Rob and company screwed a lot of people. He was not banned because of a single incident, or even because of a couple.

From my personal experience in speaking with Rob and dealing with the fallout of their actions in here, I have seen a customer charged $600 for port work that turned out to never have been done. Rob himself sent me pics of the engine that supposedly had port work done....so you cant even say that an unhappy customer sent pics of other parts. I have seen Rob get sued....and lose....and still not pay the guy that he owes the money to. I've seen countless people order parts over the years and not get them, or their money back. When Rob was banned from here, he basically just moved on and left those people that he stole from behind. To date, as far as I am told, they still never got their money back. He's not here because he poses too much of a risk to our members. End of story.
