I called them. They said there is nothing they can do. You only have 45 days to file a claim. I ordered my oil filler neck on 10/13/12. Tried to file a claim yesterday.

Paypal said that there is nothing that even my bank can do.

Atleast i didnt buy thousands of dollars of parts...

Today I went to reopen my Paypal dispute. Apparently I couldn't. So I went to open a new one and I can't do that either. Now I thought that the seller really fucked me by asking me to close the original dispute.

I called Paypal. Spent 30 minutes on hold. After a transfer to disputes, the lady I talked to was very nice. She reopened the case because I was told to close it which is against rules I guess. Seller has ten days to refund or send me a tracking number. Huzzah!

I asked her if she had any advice for the other people here who are in the same predicament as me- no contact, no product. She said that Paypal wont tolerate sellers like this. They can see bad transactions and can ban the seller from future transactions if it comes down to it. She said to be honest and they will take care of it.

My suggestion is to call Paypal. Politely explain what happened, and mention it happen to others too. Mention my case if need be (Keil Miller Jr PP-002-103-382-563).

We deserve customer support.

Try calling again and hopefully you get some one as nice as I did. Explain that the seller supposing was waiting on material to make the part, which is why you did not file a claim sooner. Explain there is others in the same situation. Mention my case. See what happens.

Man, I really wish RS would chime in here. I'd love to hear some story explaining the string of incidents.

I'm not a fan at all of talking smack or defaming of character - however these sort of actions (or lack thereof) warrant something to give, either way. Either step up the service or admit you can't provide it and stop falsely advertising and accepting people's money.

Would really like hear from Re-Speed - please help put us at ease!

The least he could do is shut down his website to prevent others from ordering parts that are clearly never going to be built and shipped

Why shutdown the website when you can get free money with no overhead?

Paypal did inform me that they will "probably" be suspending his paypal privileges.

But that doesnt help me any...

Dude, I know you are pissed and this is a tough situation as the business owner just doesn't get it and more than likely you are going to be in tough to get your money back, but man don't slag the whole country. That just starts a verbal war that has no bearing on this situation.

I do a ton of business in the US, I get pissed about some of the business practices down there, but it is usually a personal character thing and has nothing to do with the country or the people. I have met Sam a few times, don't know him at all as a person or where he is, but this whole situation stinks. I know Joe (RPM) and he's a stand up guy who has run a rotary focused business and had to deal with the slime and if he's pissed, then there is something definitely wrong here.

Why don't you go on to the Canadian Forum, if thats not offensive to you, and ask one of the guys that lives in London Ontario to drop by Sam's shop and find out whats happening? A proactive, lateral thinking approach can sometimes prevail when the "system" fails. I don't understand why this is happening, but the personal touch can usually clear things up. If they find out that the shop is closed down or that the shop is only operating part time, then that gives everyone vital information.

I don't have a dog in this fight, but there are way better ways of dealing with this than name calling and slandering a whole group of people.

I hope you get your money back.

Eric

I was being sarcastic...

I forget that sarcasm is hard to understand on a forum and i have a dry sense of humor in person also.

Didnt mean to offend!

Apologies to the canucks.

Seller never responded and Paypal ruled in my favor. I just have to wait up to 5 days for them to recover the money. This just shows you that respeed is indeed a scam. Zero response. Zero!

Wow. This is a sad day.

For what it's worth I wouldn't call them a scam - just irresponsible, negligent, and flakey business. My understanding is that dood is just way beyond his means to deliver

I see no intention of ever delivering a product, ignores his customers and even Paypal. I'd call that a scam.

Definitely a scam. Glad you got your money back.

I am **** out of luck. My bank refused my claim. I dont blame them. Its my word against theirs and i did approve the transaction. It just sucks that i waited too long to file my claim through paypal and nothing is going to happen.

$200 down the drain. I oughtta fly to Canada and pay somebody a visit. That is if his shop is even open...

Pisses me off. I just hope this thread and others like it help keep people from blowing money on this scum bags parts!

Wow, super glad I didn't go ahead and order any of this stuff. The bill I was looking at was upwards of $600. Any sites that are comparable?
