Jester's Toybox / Alexander Rud / Reinhard Exhaust

I bought an reinhard exhaust from him through a groupbuy I found on a social media outlet, facebook. I paid in full in September and the estimated time for the exhaust to be made and shipped was early to mid November. Due to storms and holidays, he said the shipment was delayed until middle of December. Customer service was good at this point as he answered most the groups questions and concerns.

I was eager to get the exhaust for early January for some events/shows. He said that he will try and get it out before then, but due to delays with customs in Cali the exhaust did not arrived in Houston. Finally the exhaust made it to Houston middle/late January and he said he had to sort through 108 exhaust and will get mine out ASAP for the next event in Feb. Due to sooo many exhaust, he could not find mine in his warehouse and so I he could not send it.

Now it is middle of February and I was out of patience (so are the rest of the members of the group buy). He took longer to answer PM's, and always had some sort of excuse. Now he said he shipped most of the exhaust and was down to 13 left...which means he should be able to locate mine easily! I requested it to be shipped that week since I would be out of country the next week. He agreed since he was going to Japan the following week too. I get back into town at the end of Feb and have not received a tracking/shipping confirmation nor package. 1-2 weeks flies by and he just ignores my request for updates. During that time he posted many pictures of his vacation in Japan on other social media outlets.

Other members of the group buy on facebook have not received their order either. He said that only 4 members on facebook were part of the group buy and the rest were all over the world. I asked those members if they were part of their car forums to see if there were any GB's under his name and no one can find anything.

Now it is March and I emailed/direct message through facebook/instagram/his personal shop email for an update. Instead of answers, I see him posting on social media more exhaust for sale and 'in stock'. Finally , I get an answer an email saying my exhaust was damaged from shipping, and missing mounting hardware. He states that he will refund me! I waited 6 months just to a get a run around! Sounds like a bunch of BS. It has been a week and I still have not receive my refund. I tried contacting him through instagram (he post pictures daily) and no answer. It feels like the group buy members and I funded his japan trip.

I emailed the company in Japan and they apologize about Mr. Alexander's dealings and said they cannot do anything about it...but will help with the order once I get my refund.

I am just posting a warning to members on here in case you are thinking about ordering from Jester's Toybox. I guess it is a hit or miss...

so.... what does this transaction have to do with rx7club?

I know it sucks to get screwed over and you're trying to get the word out, but I doubt the moderators can do anything for you since this deal happened over social media i.e. Facebook. Also, you can't fault Reinhart unless he was an employee of them, to which it sounds like he was a separate entity setting up an exhaust group buy. Its justified that they could not help you.

I am not asking the moderators to do anything. I am just trying to give everyone a heads up since this guy sells rx7 parts. If anyone wants to buy a Reinhard exhaust, the google results send you straight to his business. Unfortunately no one else ships to the US besides him. From there if you try to pull up any reviews, you will not find any. Hence why I am posting here. Jester's Toybox joined this forum a couple months ago and sounded like he was going to become a potential vendor on this forum.

Although it is good to have a heads up of people outside the Forum doing bad business,it would obviously not be any of the Forum's responsibility to do anything other than let the post stand as a reminder and reference of the person in question.
It sucks that people get taken advantage of and that one bad apple can spoil the whole pie.Just happened to turn into good deal into a bad transaction.

If it was done on this Site then it would be looked into. The Forum tries to keep the good guys going and the bad guys gone.

^Yup, one of the main reasons I really try to avoid buying/selling parts on Facebook. You're pretty likely to have a bad experience over there IMO...... you really see the ugly side of humanity.

I agree that this is not a forum moderator concern, but I don't think that is the OP's intent. Heck, there are always feedback posts about shops and other entities not directly related to the forum.

I appreciate this post a lot. I was really considering this exhaust through these guys. Not so much now.

Contact reinhard directly via email from their website. The sales rep speaks enough English to get your order for you. If I remember correctly, it was cheaper than what the Jester toybox too. It took me about 1 month before they shipped it. The most shocking part is that I received the tracking which went live Monday leaving from Japan, cleared customs and it was at my doorsteps (literally USPS left it there..luckily someone was home) on Tuesday! 1 day shipping! Anyway the exhaust sound great and do not hesitate to order one if you have the patience to wait.

I was one of the first to order this exhaust, and made 3 sales for the guy. Have inquired to purchase more and referred a bunch of people, no replies to anyone. Good to see this thread.

Also contacted Reinhard japan, 2x no replies either.

Anyone tried calling reinhard japan?
