The bottom is very low, you should keep the pump lower than or as close to the bottle outlet as possible to ensure that the pump primes. This would be hard to do with the stock washer bottle location, that all I can think of.

my primary consideration would be safety. if you run water or a 50/50 mix, neither being flammable, you'd be o k. i wouldn't recommend 100% meth unless your feeling lucky.

Thanks guys for the response. I will be running 50/50. I called mazda to price out a new jug just to have one super clean and beleive it or not it was $90+taxes. Wow. Piece of plastic.
Any experience on how far you can run the tubing from the pump? I would like to hide everything as much as possible.
thanks again.

Here are the install pics. I pulled off the wheel well cover and to my surprise there was a huge tank there and just enough room for the pump. I capped and tucked the stock tubing for the headlight washers. I drilled and tapped the fitting for the tank to pump. I had to make my own mounting hardware to fasten to pump to the chassis. There is also a perfect hole to run the tubing to the engine bay. I added a gormet for saftey. Another cool thing was the tubing fit right in the factory clips.

Rear Mount Water/Methanol Tank ? SMG Racing
^It looks nice. But $300 for a tank with (only) a gallon capacity? I'm using the stock FD washer tank with a little less than a gallon capacity and much less line routing for free. And no need for baffling.
I do have the stock rear washer tank I picked up for the cost of shipping. I've considered adding it, which would increase my capacity about another quart for the cost a second line and 'T' fitting.
