So why is most water injection kits or tanks not baffled. Seems like it would not be good for track use?

Most are blow molded plastic. You can't really add much internal geometry with this method of manufacturing.

well they COULD, but it would make it much more expensive. I reckon they are sourced from something readily available, OEM type stuff


they mold something like this, which also aids in holding the tank in place

I have seen tanks filled with blocks of open cell foam.
Not sure what type of foam stands up to gasoline but functionally it would work better than baffles.

look at ford and gm coolant reservoirs. they have interal ribs(and some baffling) and can be had for pretty cheap

Old thread aside, in my case, the feed line is at the bottom of the tank. I have a low-level tank sender. Not much need for baffling unless you run it really low.
