Hey all, first off the name is Jay, I am 17 and live in Australia and have just got my first car being an rx7 series1, now i don't know much about rotarys and hoping someone could shed me some light, enlighten me with links I could possibly learn from, my car is basically a rolling shell with no engine as i wanted the car for a project, it had a standard 12a but i gave that away to a friend and now im wanting to put a 13b into it once i have prepared the body etc, im just a little lost for where to start, and what i will need to do to put a 13b into my series1, anyway if anyone at all could put me on the right track it will be highly appreciated, thanks, below are some pictures .. thought id include them lol

thanks for the links etc, I should have used search as you mentioned before posting as I found a thread and something mentiond by ducktape https://www.rx7club.com/1st-gen-archive-71/engine-how-did-you-mount-your-t2-your-fb-653676/ which is basically all I was wanting to know, I can pick a 13b turbo up for $1500 so im definitely going to hunt wreckers/autoparts in Sydney for the parts mentioned that i will need, with the engine in will i need to change the diff, or any other major factors, ive seen alot of people talk about and mention the carbs which i will look more into modding aswell as exhaust, anyways any thought/ideas would be sweet, thanks!

There may be local forums. Im sure sydney will have one.
This place is great and a knowledge centre for these engines, but a local forum as well will have knowledge of surrounding areas

Im just trying to figure out why you "gave" your 12A away?? ggod luck on your project but seeing as its your first car - DO NOT GO TURBO 13B!!!! I cant stress this enough. I know you prob think you can drive and handle the power but an rx7 for a first car is alot to handle even with a 12A. While your building it up, go buy a runabout to learn in, if you crash that it wont matter. I got my first RX7 when I was 19 (series 4 turbo) and it was a lot to handle and I had been driving since I was 15 but just little 4 bangers. Charge ahead on your project but take your time with it, I just dont want you to wrap yourself around a pole the first time you drive it is all.

totally agree with the above, you'd be surprised with what a 12a with a aftermarket carb and sidedrafts could do!
