great suspension shop!

Hi People, just wanted to tell you all about a great vendor i came across. A while back i bought a set of secondhand JIC coilovers for my series 4 Rx7. I had a new set of bushes and the JIC's put in the car, drove around for a few weeks and found the ride too stiff and there was a clunking noise from the left rear so i started looking for a suspension shop in Brisbane to check things out for me. I thought i would see if i could put in some softer springs and get a revalving done on the JIC's. Easier said than done! I couldn't find anyone to help me out, Fulcrum just wanted to sell me a brand new set of Tein's and said there was no one that could do anything with any of the Japanese import coilovers. Then i found a guy in Slacks Creek, The Shockabsorber Reconditioners, the owner of the business Mahomed can rebuild revalve or mod anything you can throw at him! He gets shocks sent to him from all over Australia but seems to be little known of in Brisbane. Anyhow he was fantastic he really went above and beyond, he was rebuilding the JIC's for me and got stuffed around by his parts supplier and he had told me it would only take a couple of days to rebuild, respring, revalve, and setup my suspension, and instead of delaying me for anything up to another week he went and purchased a set of brand new Ksports and installed those on my car and kept the original quote. So i thought i would tell my story here incase it helps anyone out looking for quality suspension work, I can't recommend The Shockabsorber Reconditioners more highly, old fashioned service and honesty, very refreshing to find. He has a website as well www.shockreco.com.au

Cheers...

Well ok i can see how you could think that, its pretty cynical, but sure why not. But it really is a true story, i have had my Series 4 for around 6 years and have not really spent any money on the car and i have just embarked on pretty much a ground up rebuild of anything that needs it. Mazfix is the rotary shop in Brisbane that have been looking after my car, (ask them about mark's silver 86 and his suspension story if your that desperate for proof) they have been a great source of knowledge so i have had little need over the years to participate in forums. But that all changed when i came across my suspension dillemna, and when i got such a great outcome i just wanted to share the info in the hope it may help someone else. Isn't that what forums are about?? Anyway believe it if you wish dismiss it if you want, i'll find a better place to exchange ideas.

Cheers..
