ethanol 75% w klotz benoil seperating (pics)
Ok so today i tested the ethanol content of the car i just bought from florida and tested the % at the pump here in stl mo.
Florida 85% exact. Mo 75% which is up from 70% a month ago which is good. The previous. Owner ran klotz benoil w the e85 and sent me 2 bottles w the car. So i put four drops into. E75 and look at pic did no mix,i lightly shook and nothing. I shook aggressive. And let it sit look at other pic. I even redid test and put tube in warm water same result. Benoil not good mix just ordered redline alch oil premix going to give a shot. How many of you running this one. Anyone else tested the benoilw same result?
Let me know

I am running it and I will experiment with it when I fill up a few 5 gal jugs. It has been my experience that the stuff really needs to be mixed and agitated in order for it to not look like we see above. Once it has been mixed I have not noticed separation while it sits in my garage. I use the clear VP racing jugs so I can see in easily.
What was the temp of the oil when you first poured it into the ethanol?

Benol will not mix when its around freezing temperatures and it will seperate when it sits for awhile but if you shake it back up it will mix again, klotz benol is a good premix for e85 stop doubting what has been proven to work, people have been running it for years with no issues. I ran e85 with klotz premix for a year and i had absolutely no issues with my car. Checked my filters and pumps and everything was clean, absolutely no gum at all.

No issues here with Klotz Benol or Maxima 927 in practice. 0.5-0.75oz/gal + factory OMP. Premix is put in before it's filled up to mix.
I have been daily driving my FD for the past 2 years using only E85 with around 20k miles put on the clock; both in 100F and 30F weather. I typically run Klotz but do run Maxima as backup. Klotz has to be ordered but Maxima is available locally.
I recently pulled my motor apart for a Semi build and the rotor housings looked like they did when they went in. I did both the build and the disassembly. The intake manifold has a light coating of gum that was very easy to remove. The internals did not have any gum or carbon. The fuel filters are extremely clean still.

Well just ordered more redline. Just an update after driving for a month w no klotz and using the redline alcohol. Oil. I would say my car smells way better. And the fiance does not complain about the smell any more. Also when i poured it in to the same tube as before it mixed instantly. Unlike the stinky benol
