Need Help

I'm having issues with my aem for my fd. When I plug it to my laptop it doesn't power on ..Due to that I can't do anything with the car.I Has anyone had this issue before ??? I know for a fact that it works because I plugged it in my friends fd and it works..Please help me out guys ..

Need more information.

Are you using a USB to serial adapter?
Which one?
Have you ahd the aem installed and now its not working or you just now installed the AEM and its not working?

Connestion issues are nto as common as they were, but some laptops and serial adapter combos are a PITA. Will be glad to help as much as I can.
