Yo, new car here 93' rx7

Yo, just got my new car off autotrader. A 1993 mazda rx7 (no mods) for originally for 12k but talked down to 10k cause im good like that. Anyways i was wondering if anyone could tell me wut a good first mod i could do to it for better hp but not costing alot cause i spent my load on this and gotta raise more money for modifications.

get a compression check, read all of the faqs, use the search feature and you will learn everything you need to know without waiting for responses.

you need to think about things through with a rx7, its not a honda civic where you can just start dumping modifications on it. Do some RELIABILITY mods if anything, and get your car running right before you start adding power to it. thats the only way to go. you have to think the car at this point in time is 11 years old, i also have a 93 and any car that old has to been brought back to as close to the way it was running when it left the factory 11 years ago and then you can start doing some mods to get some more power out of it, if you dont do this and just decide to start buying things that say BIG HP, your just gonna end up destroying your car, trust me

yup, ive had my 93 since october and since then ive spent countless hours on this site just reading, and eventually you will know everything you want to, i mean just cause from the info from this site i feel pretty confident about my next project which im starting at the end of the month and that is pulling the motor out and geting a nice long list of things done that ive been wanting to do for awhile

10k? what condition/mileage etc. better hp for cheap? you have a lot to learn grasshopper. READ a little bit. read the newbie sticky and you'll realize that you just F'ed yourself over. nothing is cheap on these cars. first mod... get a first and second job so you can afford to keep it running. second mod, buy another car. third mod, start with the reliability mods and THEN you can think about power. have fun.

If the car is stock, I think the first mod should be a boost gauge. It's cheap, simple to do yourself and it will give good diagnostic info if there is trouble with the turbos.

This is so true, yet by the posters attitude and name, I doubt any of those will ever be completed.

The first mod you should get is your 16th birthday. Follow that with a drivers license. Lastly, you shouldnt buy an RX7 (do you honestly think we believe you?). You will probably kill yourself in it.....hmmmmm, maybe you should get one
