Wouldn't it be cheaper to replace the ends of your stock toe links with heim joints that thread into the sleeve? I mmean, why spend the 200 some-odd dollars for a cheap mod? Unless the car is lowered drastically there should be very little stress on the toe-links, and the reason you buy aftermarket is to get rid of the rubber anyway. Does anyone have input?

Have you priced quality Heim joints lately? The aluminum tubes are the cheapest part of the aftermarket versions, but you're more than welcome to build your own.

Depends on the quality you want. Just looking at McMaster Carr's catalog, they have Zinc plated and 303 stainless metric rod ends. For the toe links, you'll need a 10mm bore (dimension "A"). The Zinc versions are only $8 ea, but they're cheap crap you wouldn't want to use for your suspension. The 303 stainless versions are lined (PTFE = Polytetrafluoroethylene = TeflonŽ), but they're $35 ea. So there's $140 (for 4), and you haven't even bought your aluminum yet.

Anyway, that's just an example. For more information on selecting rod ends, check out these links...

BTW, one of the problems with using the stock center section from the toe links and just replacing the ends is that no rod end that I've seen comes with a shaft long enough to make it work.
