What's the correct wiring harness?
Not too long ago i ran over what appeared to be a tire debris from an 18-wheeler blowout on the freeway.
The impact was severe enough to cause my lowered left front wheel to slam up into the wheel well liner.
It damaged the liner and rubbed a hole through it and through several wires in the wiring harness that resides above the left wheel liner.
I emailed www.Mazdaformance.com for prices and they replied with 3 different part numbers and prices:
Engine Wiring Harness (from ECU) N3A1-18-05ZG $604.52
Engine Wiring Harness (to Battery) FD01-67-070K $370.34
Engine Wiring Harness (small one) N3A3-18-05Z $54.22
My question is which one is the correct part?
And is the same wiring harness that usually goes crispy that requires replacement due to heat damage over time? I like to replace that one too since my harness has well over 230k miles on it and has managed to survive 5 engine overhauls.

Probably this one:
Engine Wiring Harness (to Battery) FD01-67-070K $370.34
Don't replace it. Rewrap it. For your driver's side, I would repair it or replace, but also rewrap.

prolly the chasis one but..........could be battery
the chasis one is super ugly (lights/horns/etc).
i had to repair one that met a sawzall during a sr20 swap (dumb ppl around).
most cars run the chasis one under the wheel well to the fuse block by your left foot.
if it's a chasis u REALLY want to fix that not buy a new one.

I dont think any of those are the correct one.
I think the 1st one mentioned is the main harness, 2nd the harness to the starter, alt, fuse boxes, and 3rd might be the harness to the coils. The harness you are talking about will not only cost alot but be a huge pain in the *** to replace.
I'm thinking the harness you are talking about is the one that runs over the wheel well and between the frame and brake cooling duct. If so i would justfix what is broken.

yeah i'm pretty sure it was the chasis and that's the ugly one
i had to install one once when i had to cut a car in half ;0 (put a new clip on)
The battery is the one inside engine and only way i though it could have done that one in is the plasic guard by the fuse box.
You must have has some mad wheel travel
i've hear the chasis is 1g on other cars.
it's an easy fix though.
As long as it didn't **** stuff on the way out

the only harness in the drvers wheelwell is the chasis harness that goes to the lights, horn, cruise, abs unit,etc...
it is a pain to replace(lots of time but not hard)you will have to remove the dash because it goes into the car and under the dash to a few plugs that can't be reached.
If yours isn't damaged too bad I would repair it.
