I have my car up on 4 jackstands right now to change the clutch, while I was under there I noticed something kinda weird. I had this pipe jb welded onto this small flange on the back side of the engine slightly above and to the left of the turbos. while I was removing the transmission bolts the pipe broke off. the pipe wasn't connected to anything eventhough my best guess would be that it is from the airpump to the cat(I don't have a cat). does anybody know what this is for and if it would be allright to just fab up a blockoff plate for it. thanks in advance.

it looks like an air pipe flange...If doesn't go to anything, block it off!
