Question used 850's, is this going to be ok...?

I picked up some used 850's, but the plastic caps are partially broken off, around the area where the connector attaches. *the connector parts are good.

They will be going into my primary rail,
will this affect anything, especially when it comes to milling my primary rail to fit them?

Ill take pics if you need me to be more clear.

thanks

p.s. (double checking.. 850's are the long ones right? 550's are short?)

GOOFYROTOR, you shouldn't post if you don't know what he's asking.

HeatTreated,

The longer injectors are the primaries.

As far as the broken plastic, if it's on the top where the connection is, then it shouldn't be a problem, however a picture would help. You might think about sending them to RC Engineering before you install them for cleaning and flow balancing.

longer shorter ....dont matter!!!
if u put sec onto pri , result is ,the IDLE low end response is going to be BAD.
WHO CARES IF THE PLUG FITS! this is NOT the point!
i dont think u know anything bout the technical side.

thankx
See thats what I though.. I have the shorter injectors and they are fine, but after looking at the manual, I swear it shows the shorter ones going into the Secondary rail on the manifold (not into the engine)
The shorter ones are fine.
So looks like I dont need to worry about the long ones then

1: He didn't ask about the idle when using 850's in the primary rail.

2: He didn't ask "if the plug fits or not".

Did you even read his questions? No. The point is, he asked specific questions. None of which you answered or for that matter, understood.

you don't have to mill the primary to get them to fit. you can put the o-ring on in front of the plastic lip instead of behind it to compensate for its short length. Other people use an extra o-ring in the normal position that works also. Obviously you'll need a programable fuel controller (like the PowerFC) to controll the new setup.

Can you take pics so i can get a better idea of where you are talking about, because i was going to go through with milling, but if i dont have to then i won't.

Also do you know how well this works for a long time period? I'm just scared of spraying gas all over the place.

thanks

Once again, you are just making up crap which has absolutely NOTHING to do with the original questions of this thread.

You can test the fuel system for leaks without actually putting everything back together and running the car. People have had success and leaking both ways (milling or just using an extra o-ring). If you want to be safe, you can get a new primary rail (rxrotary2_7 has them, as you saw from your last thread) which are made to accept larger primaries.

Exactly, his questions were asked and then answered (not by you). End of thread.
