Hey all,

I've signed myself up to try and get invited to the Ultimate Track Car Challenge put on by Grass Roots Motorsports and CarDomain.com. Please check out my ride, give me some feedback, and hopefully vote me up to get them interested to invite me to come out and play.

I thought that car looked familiar. I've seen pics of your car and read about the One Lap challenge you did with Crispy.

You got my support. Best of luck!

Someone needs to put a respectable rotary in the Sport Compact Car challenge they have every year. I've seen two, and neither of them did better than half of the competition, and I don't think either of them even finished the challenge

The very first year of the USCC had a black FD with a rotory still in it and the motor blew up. The next year they had a open wheel open cockpit track car (cant remember the name) with a FD drive train and the motor blew. After that they stop letting RX7's in untill my car competed 2 years ago.

They say they are going to drasticly change the compition to make it more real for next year. But who knows what that means. The challenges were set up for the kind of cars that they wanted to win. And the all wheel drive cars had a huge advantage as they do zero trake prep. The rx7 this year spun out shifting to fourth at well over 100 miles an hour. The very next week he pulled a low ten at sac race way. (a very crappy track)

dthree - I hope you get in, and I hope you do well. Best of luck to you.

This is incorrect on two counts--The first year the USCC was *won* by the black FD.

Also, in 2004 my old roommate's car entered and finished the USCC. He didn't place high unfortunately due to a condensed timeline, but his FD is still running on the same engine to this day

People can enter until June 1st and then the event will be held on July 27th. I've got a lot of prep work until then. I've got to replace the pre-cat with a down-pipe (yes, we did One Lap with a full emissions exhaust)! I've got some Wilwood brakes to put on. And now I just got my yearly bonus and it looks like I'll be able to finally replace the stock springs with some coil-overs like Crispy runs.

Thanks to all for the well wishes and votes. Somehow I've dropped from 2nd to 6th place but at least I'm still on the front page.

2 different events - Utlimate street car challenge and the other is the track car event - which the FD did win the first year the event was held.
