Too Lean at Low Boost
This past weekend I had the car finally dynoed after 5-6 months of waiting. I have had the boost real conservative (.55-.6 bar = 8-9 psi) on the AVC-r since getting my new motor in last Sept. per Rob Goldens advice. He wanted me to make sure on the A/F ratio before turing it up. So come Sat. I pulled 288 HP @ approx. 7600 rpm and 220 TQ @ approx. 6k rpm. I was very happy with those numbers at that boost. But, the problem was that at that low boost level I still was holding at around 12.0 A/F and even went to around 12.25 A/F. I know, I know, way to high. We did a couple of runs at that boost and they all were very similar. Just for comparison we did a run at around 10 psi and the A/F ratio started to go even higher and the car was not liking it so I let off early. Now I have seen people on here with very similar mods and the same ECU that have A/F ratios that are in the safe level. I bought that ECU before the streetport and high-flow cat but was thinking that all of the GForce ECU's where tuned the same. Can someone confirm that? Not sure if it would be the ECU or something else. Everything that I can think of in the fuel track got replaced when the motor was done except for the injectors. Comments, concerns, suggestions are very welcome.
Thanks

just a thought, are you sure that your ECU is capable of handling the street port? i know that M2 doesn't make them for ported engines... i think some others say the same.

No, I am not positive on that. I was just searching through past posts finding some with that ECU and port jobs and people were saying they were fine. Not sure if all those ECU's were tuned the same from the factory or not and since I believe the company no longer exists I am lost on info.
