steering feels loose?

ive always thought the steering felt weird on my car, but i never had another rx7 to drive to compair. well i drove one yesterday and the steering was much firmer. Mine feels very loose all the time. (as in its much easier to turn) Any idea what could be the problem???

Thanks, Mike

Loose rack mount bolts - a known relatively-common problem.

Loose rack mount bolts was my problem.

I got under the car and had someone wiggle the steering wheel, and I could see the rack moving in the mounts. Tightened the mounts, haven't had a problem since.
