A-Spec Tuning Fuel Kit Questions, 94 FD

I am primarly a Honda guy (don't hate to much). A buddy of mine asked me to work on his car for him as he doesn't have the tools or space.

"Simple turbo upgrade".

Everything is going smoothly, but this fuel setup is ALOT different than I am used to seeing. I snapped a few pictures to help w/the description.

I did a good bit of searching but didn't see anything that related to my problem.

He bought this kit from A-Spec tuning. The fuel rail and injectors are the same, but the fpr is a sard unit, seen here...

Does anyone else have the "stock" fuel setup w/this kit?

Here is the picture..

It came w/some AN fittings and a length of ss braided hose. None of the fittings w/fit onto the stock lines, unless I worm clamp it on, which doesn't make me to thrilled about.

Regarding the FPR, where does the fuel pressure guage go? There are only 2 ports?

Also I am unclear how the primary/secondary injectors as well as the FPD and FPR are all connected.

Seems to me there are 2 feeds I am unsure that come off the motor to the left via hard lines. One goes to the primary fpd and out into a banjo fitting into the right side of the fuel rail. The 2nd feed went directly into the OEM fpd/fuel rail. Thats what I gather anyway. W/that said..I am unclear as to how to hook up the new "kit".

Thanks for the help in advance, as this is the only thing holding me up.

this should help with routing

G - from tank
B - series to secondary rail
Y - secondary rail to FRP
Br - return to tank.

there is a allen screw you can remove and screw in the gauge.

they have barb to AN fitting you can attach the rubber hose too.

make sense yet?

Check this writeup:

https://www.rx7club.com/3rd-generation-specific-1993-2002-16/fuel-system-upgrade-how-write-up-kgparts-kit-404091/

It maybe not the "exact" same kit, but it should be very similar.

On a side note I read through your link and the car has no power whatso ever before the 6,000 rpm mark and your redline is 8,500. Where is the fun in that. But it is clean

Negative.

The ramping rate on the dyno was off, I have since had it retuned, just don't have the new dyno loaded.

5k-9k w/450whp straight across the board.

Honda's have different powerbands...they shine on the top 1/2.

Ever heard the term "torqueless wonder" ?

The car is great driving around town...makes power, just not full boost under 5k...so I can put around and still get 30mpg...then when I want to go WOT...just mash the go pedal and I'm off...

Thanks. It's a fun car that I enjoy. Civic's are easy to work on, and everything is pretty simple...but maybe that's b/c I am used to it...

Rotaries are a little different, the principle is the same just located in a different place..lol.

When I am finished w/college in another yr or so I will be looking into something like an Rx7/Vette/Supra...

I'd like to step up to a big boi car eventually.
