Slight Leak around IC Pipes and Alternater
Well when the car starts up in the morning,(when cold) And when I stick my face in front of the alternator and IC pipes and rev on the throttle cable, I can feel a air leak between the IC pipes and Alternator. The IC pipes are clamp down hard with some heavy duty clamps. and I can't seem to find the leak anywhere.
Maybe just the alternator generating power or the belt?
LOL

Probably the Alt. Belt you're feeling. Sometimes it's really the simple things. Does it come and go as you rev? The belt will move more air/accelerate air the faster it turns.

I do notice a slight change of noise when I install the Blitz SMIC.

don't race, don't need to
You sure that's not the cooling fins from the alternator blowing a little air forward? If you are running 13-10-12, you DON'T have an intake tract leak!!

i guess i haven't come around those types yet. i've rebuilt a few before, but haven't seen the fins inside. i'm pretty sure that if you separate the pulley side end frame it'll expose the stator and rotor (amongst other things such as bearings). then you'd get toward the rectifier end frame and rear cover. but that just houses your voltage regulator and diode trio.
