Sign of bad map sensor? really need some help.

What are the signs of a bad map? My car is starting to run like crap. It barely idles and stalls evey now and then. The exhaust sounds different also, it kinda pops and sounds like a jet ski. Also if I'm driving and step on the gas it will hesitate really bad until the rpms pick up. It just seems to be running really rich. Could a bad water temp sensor cause this? Any ideas would be help full.

Anyone have the symptoms of a bad MAP sensor? My car has all the tell tail sign of a disconnected MAP senson vacuum line(poor idle, backfire, smoke) but it is actually connected just fine.
