Sesquential Twin Turbo
I know the rx7's twin turbos are sesquential, 1 at low rpms, the other at higher rpms. Does any other twin turbo car do this?? Ex. Supra, 3000GT, 300ZX. etc.
Why do some rx7's have heating problems with the vacuum lines?? Is it because it is sesquential??
If other cars are sesquential twin turbos, do they use vacuum lines too??

yup, I'm an extreme noob.
so the supra's turbo system works like the sevens correct? 1 turbo at low rpm, then both at high rpms?
what system do they use that doesn't prevent their lines from overheating so much??
thanks guys

Ours use a super duper complicated system which starts with the primary alone while at the same time a bit of exhaust gas is diverted to the secondary turbo which lets that one prespool, then come on full blast at about 3k. Thats the reason for the super duper messy vac hose system. I know that the supra vac system is no where near as complicated as ours. They Possibly may not have the second turbo prespooling while the first is boosting.

The reason the RX-7's system is so complicated is that they tried to not use electronics for controlling the system (to reduce costs), so the system is controlled by the vacuum lines. It was improved in the later years.

I love the sequential twin setup
When it's working the sequential setup is a thing of BEAUTY!
