A few weeks ago my car started to run like crapola. the motor is only about 5k old and has 3mill apex seals and viton water seals, most everything was replaced when it was rebuilt. So I'm concerned that I've blown the car again. Low vac, lots of smoke, hard to start etc. Well when I got back from 7stock I changed the plugs and when I removed the plug wires it felt like they, two at least, where not attached properly. I replaced the plugs and snapped on the plug wires and started it up. Seemed to start better but still low vac and bad idle etc. Two of the removed plugs where crudded up pretty well and the other two looked clean??
Two weeks later... I havn't driven it in about two weeks but today I took it for a spin. About a half an hour drive. It seems that the vac is comming back up a little bit and it seems to have stopped smoking so much. Not perfect yet but better.
I wonder if the two plugs that had the loose wires wheremissing and caused a bunch of carbon to build up in the motor. Anybody have an experiance like this before?
all the time they do seem to heal themselfs soem times
