Cool Searched forever, still need info

I am trying to find out if anyone has successfully upgraded the sub AMP ONLY on the bose system for an FD. I have a 94 touring, like the way the system sounds, just want a little more volume from the subs. Crutchfield lists several amps that they say are compatible with bose sub, just want to know if anyone has been successful and happy with replacing the stock sub amps.

I would replace the stock woofer before the amp, just my .02

If you change out the stock headunit their is plenty of power to it.
