Running Issues
Hi, im new here. I work for a company called RSE Motorsport based in north wales.
Recently purchased a gen 3 RX-7 Twin Turbo. and i got few issues.
Mainly overfueling - when managed to get the thing to start - it'll idle for about 10mins then all of a sudden - stall. and wont fire up again untill cooled down. Comes up with flash code 31 - Air ByPass valve if i can remember. it also backfires on idle. Had the plugs out a load of times, SOAKED.
Anyone come accross this before? Ive got the engine in bits at the mo, inlet manifold is off. found ALL the vacuum pipes and breathers are SOLID, so need to replace those, or is there a way round Bypassing them?
Many Thanks
Daniel

If you are getting code 31, that would be:
31 solenoid valve - relief 1
however I doubt that has anything to do with your symtoms. Did you start with a compression test of the engine?
Its also possible that you have leaking/problematic injectors, however I would start with the compression test first. That will give you a good idea where you stand and you can go from there.
If the compression checks out fine, start with some basic maintenance:
Change spark plugs
Change/inspect plug wires
Fluid change (coolant, oil)
Fuel filter change
Does the car have any modifications to it?
