E BRAKE failure after awhile

My ebrake fails after awhile, ill park the car pull the ebrake and check to see if i can move the car. It doesn't move, then after 5mins, ill come back and i can push the car, of course with the ebrake still up. It is a 5 speed. '

Any help would be great.

my fd used to be like that, if i leaned on the car it would end up moving.. i tightened the e brake cable where the handle is.. i hear also the cable ends up wearing out and that could be another reason because even after tightening it, it will not move but still could be better.

You can also tighten the ebrake by the rear brakes. There should be an adjuster.
