RPM gauge faulty
Well ive done some research but have not yet to take apart the RPM gauge on the FD cluster, was wondering how hard is it and what could cauce my RPM gauage to be reading way off, My PFC commander reads 2200 while the factory RPM gauge reads 2800-3000, just happened like 2nights ago, its really bugging me. Could it be resistors on the gauge itself? I wont have time to really take it all apart for about 2weeks but need to get all the info i need to try and fix it. Thanks

I'm about to resolder the board on my tach sometime this week, may have to replace some parts on it but I have to inspect it first. I have two clusters, both with bad tachs so I'm hoping I can make one good one out of everything. My tachs don't work at all though, so your problem may be with different components.
There's a thread floating around that talks about which parts to replace.
Mike
