Ever considered spec clutches in the equation.

We are just now trying them out and till now we are very posative on them. The last news I know is that my firends car (not a 20b) which is havily moded though has a spec clutch which can handel 800 break(if I am not wrong) and just the other weekend made 11s 9 eaisly and can haneld even more. What is best that they are very drivable compared to my excedy 3 finger cerametallic clutch I have on right now which jerkes quite a lot. He had tried even a twin plate before but was never satisfied. On the contrary he is very satisfied with the spec he has now.

I am in for a change to a spec in a short time. Mine has just arrived last S aturday

I have a SPEC 6 puck Stage 3 with a 9lb flywheel in my last car (which did NOT have enough power to merit going with such a clutch) and I was still able to daily drive it after a little practice. SPEC makes a great product from my (LIMITED) experience.

My Exedy holds very well allthough I am still at 10lbs. I noticle the slight rattle in neutral when first installed with the radio off and windows up but haven't noticed it since. It is softer then any puck type clutch but I would think you would need a tripple plate. I know Rotary Extreme had one left over but don't know if you could still get it from them. JT-Imports has tried them all and prefers OS Giken, I beleive. There has been some reviews in other threads a few years back.
