REVIEW - Autovation CNC Aluminum dead pedal cover.

I've been exploring options for a dead pedal cover that matches the brake and clutch pedals.

In JDM land they have aluminum covers for the gas and dead pedal that don't really match up, and the dead pedal is the wrong shape since it is RHD.

There were apparently some cast aluminum ones made many years ago, but they are rare and expensive.

SO, the other day Gone in 60 seconds was on, and the "hero car" Eleanor had those pedal covers that said "STOP" and "GO." The company that made them for the car, Autovation, actually makes pedal covers for many cars. There website does not look like it has been updated in FOREVER and still mentions the Gone in 60 Seconds tie-in. I e-mailed them and here's what I got.

For $25 shipped, I got this dead pedal in 2 weeks from the time I paid (they are made to order). It is pretty impressive that it is this cheap for something CNCed from aluminum and what would have to be 2 additional finishing steps (bead blasting and sanding edges.

This is the Competition Series finish.

Dead pedal, cover, and included screws:

You have to drill 4 1/8th" holes for the screws and that is it:

And in back in the car:

I'm pretty satisfied with the way it looks, and the price was really good! They are reasonably close to the original pattern on the clutch and break pedals.

If you are interested in a set, e-mail Tony : ah@autovation.net

I'm not getting paid for this post and have no affiliation with this company, just wanted to pass a good deal on to any that may be interested.

They do offer replacements for all the pedals, although the clutch and brake pedals are redundant since they are already aluminum. The gas pedal is a smooth finish for safety, but does have holes to match the other pedals.

It is oversized to hopefully make it easier to heel/toe.

The Widefoot (accelerator pedal) extension is also an option. IIRC, they have two choices. I'm more of a "roller" and this works nice....
